We were fortunate to have Mike Retasket, a former chief of the Bonaparte First Nation and interpreter at Barkerville Historic Town & Park, instruct our First Host course a couple weeks ago. Mike even joined us for a meal at the lodge and shared some songs and stories with us.

We had the opportunity to go on a wildlife viewing tour before our last week of coursework! Participants spent the day exploring the water ways around Campbell River and Quadra Island.
