A New Era In Virtual Racing is Here Multisportscanada is proud to announce the inaugural New Era Run Series 2020. Three weekends of virtual racing allowing runners to create their own race route while competing against others in real-time. Races are split into varying distances, making it perfect for runners of all ages and abilities. The New Era Run Series combines the best of the real-world and the virtual world using the new OpenRace iPhone app which will provide updates t...hrough audio cues on their position, pace, distance, and time during the race. Having organized races for over twenty years, I know that people are missing the connection and competition in-person racing creates. I wanted to create a virtual race which will encourage runners to continue training and compete in real-time against others in a safe environment said Trevor Soll, Owner of Multisportscanada. It’s a ‘virtual’ real race that athletes from across the country and around the world can take part in. No one will be running alone. The New Era Run Series events are open to runners of all ages and abilities. There are three weekends of racing taking place on November 29th, December 6th and December 13th, 2020.
