For those who had a deposit paid for the 2020 season, this deposit will move forward into your 2021 season. Please ensure you mail back the form to confirm your date, group size and boating information.... We are looking forward to our 2021 camp season!

Camp is perfectly untouched as well as our house in town. They continue to work on the fire.

We are excited to announce that we are allowed to return to Red Lake after 7am tomorrow (Sunday). We are extremely thankful to all of those who worked so hard to contain the fire. We had so much rain which was a big help.

Camp update: The Canada and USA border will remain closed and be re-evaluated on September 21st, 2020 due to the Covid19 Pandemic. That brings us nearly to the end of our 2020 camp season. We will contact all of our guests via mail to confirm your dates for the 2021 season. We appreciate all of your support and we look forward to having you all back in camp,next season. ... * we cannot be reached by phone at this time and very limited access to our emails. As most of you know, Michael and I, along with our 3 children, have been evacuated from Red Lake due to the forest fire that is ravaging our community. We were able to get our guests out of camp within an hour of getting notification of the evacuation orders. At that point, we could see thick, billowing smoke clouds which appeared over Gull Rock Lake, our view from the Lodge deck facing the lake. The Ministry of Natural Resources, along with our fire departments, are working around the clock to fight this fire. They have managed to put out some of the fire, but it is still out of control today. Here are a few photos of some areas where the fire was put out. We pray for the safety of our firefighters and all essential workers who are there in the Red Lake area working hard to save our towns.

Edit: As if we haven’t had enough heartache, we believe my purse was stolen in Dryden early this morning at Tim Hortons. We slept(if that’s what you call it) at a rest stop on the TransCanada in Vermillion Bay. We couldn’t drive any longer at 2am Our camp and guests were evacuated at 10:30pm tonight due to an out of control forest fire. The entire community of Red Lake has been put on evacuation notice to leave tonight. These photos are from late this afternoon when it ...started. Please keep our family and neighbours in your thoughts. We are at a stand still on highway 105 with hundreds of cars ahead of us waiting to check into the evacuation check point in Ear Falls. Then we will continue on to Sioux Lookout, Ontario.

Fishing off the dock tonight was amazing! 14-18 walleyes! Perch! Northerns!... A great night!

Canadian and U.S. officials have agreed to keep the border between the two countries closed to non-essential travel until August 21. Tourists and cross-border visits remain prohibited. The Ontario Government announced nearly all businesses and public spaces will reopen (based on each region) in Stage 3 on Friday of the province’s reopening framework with public health and workplace safety measures and restrictions in place.... We are cautiously moving foreword here in the Red Lake Area. With continued social distancing, wearing a face mask, proper hand washing hygiene, frequent cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and objects, we are doing a great job. Canada currently has only 107,590 confirmed cases of covid19. We miss you all dearly and hope you, your family and friends, remain healthy.

We are very happy with all the hard work our kids have done to help us tear out and rebuild our Brand new main dock. Check out our first visitors to use it! 7 Otters sun bathing I ran inside to grab my camera and was only able to capture this one.

We are very excited! We are allowed to open beginning June 5, 2020 but only to Canadian residents at this time. Please keep your fingers crossed that soon they will reopen the borders to allow our amazing USA guests in to enjoy our fabulous wilderness! This moose was just up the hill from camp!

We are still in the process of reaching out to groups scheduled to arrive in June, 2020 but due to Covid19 and the borders remaining closed at this time, we are reaching out as quick as possible to hopefully be able to have your group change to an alternate date for this 2020 season. If there are any groups who are able to change to August or September, please send us a personal message on our facebook page and we can let you know which cabins and boats are still available, t...hat best meet the needs of your group. We hope everyone continues to stay safe. We cannot wait to open this season! Camp is much too quiet without you all here with us!

The Canadian Government announced today, the extension on the existing agreement will remain in place until June 21 to keep the borders closed to non essential travel. We will begin to reach out to every group which this will effect, and hope you may be flexible with your family/work to rebook your vacation here with us for a later date this season. We have cabins available in July, August and September. To those guests who have reached out to us, from the bottom of our hear...ts, Thank you!
