Even tho Lake Simcoe is considered a high pressured lake there are still many spots and areas that if u are willing to put in the work u will be rewarded big time! Don’t be afraid to explore or put in the time and if u get skunk it’s ok just take your beating like a champ and keep at it. It’s all part of the process. The reason why most areas or spots are way too crowded is because most anglers are not willing to go explore. I was told a long time ago that if we release Whitefish that comes out from the deep water their survival rate is very low. Whitefish can not burp themselves like the Lake Trouts can and that’s why sometimes when they are released they tend to have a harder time swimming off. Can anyone shed some light on this topic? #icefishingisdope
