Nice underhood shot of a AFE cold air intake we installed on a 2020 Toyota Tacoma this morning!!!
Sure a big difference with some new wheels on this 2020 Toyota Tacoma!!
When performing wheel alignments, we always complete a steering and suspension inspection before putting your vehicle onto the alignment machine. This is done so that we can perform a accurate alignment and guarantee our work. We often get vehicles brought in by customers who have had their vehicle inspected by another shop and are told there vehicle doesn't require any parts. When we tell the customer that they do in fact, require parts, it makes for a awkward conversation, as "their shop" didn't identify the faulty parts and they thing we are "ripping them off". Unfortunately, we can't guarantee other shops work, so we inspect and complete our own work. And when it comes to our work, we are backed by the best warranty in the business, Napa's 2 year, 40,000 km parts and labor warranty.

This is why it's important to check your air filter regularly lol!!
It's been a couple of weeks since our last post, and Covid is still here. We are doing our best to try to keep up with the work in our shop, despite the many delays we are facing in terms of parts and tire orders. We daily receive parts from across Canada, and Covid is starting to affect the normal shipping times. For example, some parts didn't arrive because Purolator was 5 semi loads behind on their parcels. Gardwine was also having issues keeping up with demand. One delivery driver said its busier than Christmas. Not making excuses, just being honest with you. We thank you for your patronage and patience during these unprecedented times, as we are all getting a lesson in what the new normal may look like. Thanks again.
In anticipation of the forecasted dry spring, we have Eric and Pat getting a few fire units ready. Eric's reinstalling a set of tracks and Pat is fabricating a UTV fire skid.
When my Ford loving co-worker Donovan, decides to throw a jab my way lol - we always like to get the best description of the problem to accurately determine the problem. I see here he made sure the details were recorded lol
Due to the current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, we have had to make some changes to how we do business. Our aim is to do our part to keep our staff healthy along with their families, and then also try our best to keep our customers healthy when attended our business. At this time, it can be a struggle to maintain even staffing as our staff are affected by school and daycare closures, just like most other people. Starting on monday, we will be adjusted our operatin...g hours 9 am to 5 pm (it was 8 am to 5:30 pm). Our shop staff will be using steering wheel covers and nitrile gloves when driving your vehicles. Our parts staff will no longer be making outside sales calls, but we will continue our deliveries on a "as needed" basis, but our staff will not be entering other facilities. We will also not be test driving / driving vehicles with customers in them anymore. Unfortunately, we won't be able to shuttle customers anymore either. BUT, we will gladly pickup and deliver vehicles as needed. We do have a key drop box for any customer wanting to drop off their vehicle for servicing. We hope, like everyone else, that this pandemic can be over shortly so that we can get back to normal. With that being said, take time now to enjoy your family and the time spent with them. See more
To all our valued customers. During this chaotic time with the Covid - 19 pandemic, the management has decided to take some steps to protect ourselves, our valued staff and their families and also our customers. We have marked out in green tape, safe workspaces for our staff when dealing with customers. We will no longer allow any customers in the shop workspace. We have closed off our waiting area, and based on advisement from the province, we recommend that customers dr...op off their vehicles for service work and be picked by a friend or family member, instead of waiting around. Our staff have been instructed to use nitrile gloves when driving your vehicle and also may use disinfectent when working on issues inside your vehicle. As for our towing business, we will no longer provide ride alongs for customers. It is the customers responsibility to arrange a pickup for themselves from wherever the vehicle is being towed from. If your vehicle requires any service or maintenance work, we would gladly be willing to arrange pick up and or drop off services, as our schedule allows. We also have a key drop off box for customers to place their keys if a night drop off is more convenient. This is a unprecedented time, and we are working hard to make these, what seem to be, inconvenient practices beneficial to ourselves and our customers in terms of overall health. We apologize for any inconvenience, but assure you we are doing our best. See more

If you want to know why technicians get grey hair, here's why. A 2016 Ford F150 came in with a complaint of the heater controls, radio and front power windows not working. We also found that the tire pressure monitors weren't working and there were issues with the trailer connector. After scanning the vehicle we found that there were multiple communication codes for multiple modules. This vehicle has 41 modules in total. We found the trailer connector wires shorted, open a...nd corroded. No surprise there as vehicles aren't really built for gravel roads anymore. After sorting that out, there were a lot fewer codes but the original problem was still there. After verifying that the heater control wasn't communicating with the other modules we started tracing the wires for an open circuit using our fault finder test tool. A little harder to do, being that the harness runs in a insulated harness. Even more harder is that the harness runs behind the dash and accessing it for testing is difficult. Nevertheless, Eric traced the open to a portion of harness that was unaccessible except through the dash heating vent. So we bypassed the open harness with a new wire which we rewrapped to maintain the insulation integrity. Now just to put the interior back together and reprogram the tire sensors. Many hours were spent diagnosing this issue and tracing the fault. And on a vehicle that's only a few years old. See more
This is why regular maintenance is important - needless to say this van was suffering with a severe sinus infection - should breath a little easier with a new filter lol.

Hey, check out our promo for February and March!!!
Please be advised that we will be open tommorow for regular business hours but with reduced staff in the afternoon due to the funeral of John and Dave's mother. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your patience during this time. Thank you.
It sure is nice to be able to program our own modules instead of having to send cars to the dealer. This afternoon we replaced a differential module on a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox which required a software programming procedure and calibration.
When a customer makes a request and we have the ability, we get it done. With not much snow in the ground, things are a bit slippery. But not anymore for this guy lol.
As we turn over from 2019 to 2020, we just want to take a moment to thank you, our customers and friends, for your patronage over the last year, decade and almost a half a century. We appreciate your support.
On the left is a extremely worn belt, on the right a new one. You can see how worn the grooves are on the left. Unfortunately, this failure cost the customer a break down and tow yesterday evening. Stop in today to schedule your winter service and inspection and keep the tow trucks parked this winter.
