The railing is being completed and the camera system is being installed on Monday. The Dock construction is in the home stretch.

The Heritage Center will not be staffed from Feb 12 to Feb 15. The Business Manager will be back in the office Tuesday February 16th. Have a great long weekend everyone!

EVERY WEEKEND until December 20th. We can't wait to see you there!!

Please accept our apologies for the error regarding Shop Hours. The error have been corrected and all information on this post is accurate. Sorry for the confusion......Though the Heritage Center has not been open to the public since March, the office has been staffed Wednesdays to Sundays all summer. We will now be transitioning back to staffing the center Mondays-Fridays. During this transition the Center will not be staffed for 3 days - Oct 3rd to 5th (Sat-Mon). The Business Manager will be onsite Tuesday to Friday next week and will be resume a Monday Friday schedule going forward. All shops will be open Thursdays to Sundays with the option to close Mondays to Wednesdays. Please contact shops individually for details

Fisherman's Cove is excited to welcome Kismet Design into unit 26. Though Katie was been with us for sometime in Pumpkin Village, she is now spreading out into her own shop. Katie has been hard at work making her shop look so inviting and beautiful as she prepares to OPEN IN SEPTEMBER. Be sure to pop in and say hi and check out the new store on the boardwalk.

Our Pirate Weekend was a big success! The weather was beautiful and we maintained a crowd of less than 250 people at all times . Fisherman's Cove will be hosting our annual Pirate Festival this weekend. There will be outside entertainment Saturday and Sunday from noon to 2pm however it will be on a smaller scale than in past years. Following provincial regulations there will only be 250 people allowed in Fisherman's Cove at any time. For this reason both days will hold all the same performances. If you can’t get in on Saturday, try again on Sunday. There will also be an online Facebook game for kids. W...e will post the quiz at 10am tomorrow and we will draw a name each day from all who participated for a $10 gift card from Jo’s Candy. This event is sponsored by HRM through Community, Culture and Heritage and social distancing measures are in place. No cars will be allowed into the Fisherman's Cove property during the event and foot traffic on the boardwalk will be in one direction only. Stay 6 feet apart, stay safe and come dressed as a pirate! Due to lack of resources to maintain the facility safely, the Heritage Center will remain closed to the public until further notice. However, the Office Manager and staff will be on site Wednesdays to Saturdays from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm and Sundays from noon until 5:00 pm. Please feel free to call or email with inquiries. We are happy to direct you in any way we are able. The Office will not be staffed on Mondays and Tuesdays but the outside washrooms (unit 22 on the boardwalk) will be open 7 days a week from noon until 5:00 pm for your convenience.
