Hey everyone!!! I know a few are waiting for an ice off prediction and it’s been a tough one to gauge this winter. Here are a few pics the aerials compliments of our neighbor fly by expert are from 2 weeks ago and the satellite is from yesterday. I’m going to say the lake will be crossable really early this year, the satellite from my experience shows the ice on the east 1/2 of the lake already getting dark and if the weather stays the way it has the last week..... I’m not sure the earliest date it’s ever cleared however this year may be the one. I’m going to say Lake Nipissing will be boat crossable on April 18th 2021.

Hello Everyone, A little pre Christmas fun. Here’s a few pics that were taken this past Tuesday and I had a message that the lake had completely froze over yesterday. Camp looks cold with 9-10 of snow. And being so close to Montreal and Toronto some of the locals from Sturgeon Falls take their ice rinks very seriously....especially this year. I don’t know the dimensions however it looks pretty big with a full set of boards,paint and lighting!!! I hope you are all safe, healthy, happy and ready for Christmas.

Last group of the season and why not some guys that are 31 year veterans....haven’t missed a year, they’ve seen a lot of changes over the years and 3 owners as well. Always glad to have you guys Coulter Group fish, beer, bbq repeat. They took over the leader board as well.

Down to the last Wednesday of the season and I don’t have to go to town, there’s plenty to do around camp with 4 days to go then back home to the coast on Monday.

So this is the group I refer to as Renatos Group they refer to themselves as the 24/40 fishing team. These guys are the very first booking that I took back in 2005....maybe it was 04’ Luc Panella? When I first talked to Renato I told him all the best fishing was here close to camp and that they’d catch bigger and better fish staying here, they had fished this area for years and he laughed and pretty much told me I was full of it hahaha. Lucky for me on that very first day... on the way back to camp for the day Renato caught a 50-1/2 Muskie basically a stones throw off the main dock. My dad told me that day I bet you they rebook for next year after catching that It’s always so good to see everyone stay, relax, fish and have a great time while they’re here. The only bad thing about seeing this group of guys is that means summer has come to an end. One week to home. Thank you all for braving the great outdoors over this crazy summer, my folks and I look forward to seeing the new groups return next season and we’ll be here with open arms (or fist bumps) whatever it may be next May to welcome our American guests back to Canada and Sandy Haven where we have everything you need and don’t need.
