We will be impacted by this, however open this week Wednesday and Thursday, closed following Christmas for 28 days. All inventory is online and we are offering curbside pickup. Over the summer, Guitars For Kids-WATERLOO Region was able to help some local families even though we were basically under quarantine. Recently things have begun to pick up:) A couple weeks ago, we were contacted by the operators of Art with HEART Studio Inc. in Simcoe Ont. They are facilitating an after school music program and as a not for profit organization, they were seeking help to procure 10 Ukuleles. Our organization is fortunate to have many contacts so I went to wor...k to see what we could come up with. Now, y’all may know Guy Westbrook who occasionally plays stunt guitar with me. He also is the proprietor of the Fishin' Musician Guitar shop in Waterford, On. He and his partner Shelley Stanley, stepped right up and put together 10 Ukuleles at their cost and donated them to the program. But then we took it a step further. Guitars For Kids added 3 guitars and The Fishin’ Musician added one more. So together, we were able to put 14 instruments into the Art With Heart initiative yesterday. And we were ecstatic to make it happen:) And now, there are kids that will have an opportunity to learn music after school:) Community efforts can make a difference. And Guy Westbrook can make a difference on stunt guitar:) #fishinmusician #GFK
