Fit Empowered Mom Project 25.05.2021

CHECK THIS OUT!!!! DIASTASIS? GRIPPY FLAT MOM GLUTES? Nothing wrong with having either. Sometimes it is part and parcel of pregnancy. Doesn't mean you have to live with it though.It's ok if you want to work on those Things and it's ok if you don't. This is a safe space for everyone ... The appearance is one thing, but what about how well someone functions? This lovely lady had SPD and SI joint troubles during pregnancy then SI issues after. Anyone who has experienced that knows its no joke. Joint pain really can take the fun out of momming and parenting. I've been THERE. With a baby and a toddler who has time to feel like crap?? So the goal in this instance after her cesarean birth was to initially be pain free, then reconnect the left and right and upper and lower part of her body that was severed by a cesesran incision. The exercises and scar massage that we used to do this then brought about the aesthetic changes that you can see. But more importantly she now feels gooooddddd Strong. Confident. Back pain gone. Diastasis is now not deep so more muscle integrity. Improved posture through upper back and hips more stabilized Enjoy the slide show to see what we got up to! Did you know that when you cannot form the optimal breathing oattern it can be linked to: Diastasis recti... Incontinence Pelvic organ prolapse Anxiety Hormone disruption Allllll things that can be affected simply by your breathing pattern. This video shows HOW to do basic core connetion breathing, then shows some ways to resolve troubled breathing patterns. There is a time and a place for full deep breaths BUT if your body is stuck and you cannot even get into those breathing positions and muscle ranges, it CAN impact all those things above and slow down healing. Making Memories What an amazing couple of days ! Hubby booked camping at the amazing Lake Louise for my birthday surprise and we finally got to go! Roaming around the forest, camp fires, amazing scenery, and feeling somewhat recharged. Last camping trip of the year i think though , Leo was ready to go home early this morning and I think he was done with the having to wear a couple of extra layers so no autumn camping for us this year. ... Onwards to the next season we go and new adventures What are some of your biggest family memories that you're creating for your little ones?

Oh gaaad. Anyone absolutely dreading winter???? Can feel the bite in the air already here in Calgary and we have only just started September. I personally have zero desire to be going in any indoor play places come freezing weather so what's everyone's plan??? ... More playdates? Homeschool/ play circles? Daily play entertainment schedules? HELLLLPPP!

DOULA CERTIFICATION BOOKED!!!! I just want to give a huge shout out and thank you to @prodoula for giving me the opportunity to certify as a Birth doula through their company I had planned on becoming a doula once I'd reached my mid fourties lol, that was the plan. But having said that, I feel the qualities of a doula would help sooooo many people I'm already working with so I cannot wait to incorporate it all together. So the fact this whole thing has arisen now is defi...nitely a sign that it's meant to be happening sooner rather than later. Once I certify I plan on getting plenty of experience from others who have been doing it a while and figure out exactly how I can serve the community the best using my new skills. If you missed the memo, I won a contest a couple of weeks ago to win a certification though this company As someone who hears soooooo many upsetting stories of childbirth experiences (great ones too but ALLOT of horror stories), I absolutely cannot wait to be able to help families navigate a confident, empowering birthing experience, PLUS then help them recover with my experience and skills as a postpartum exercise coach. I'd love to hear your doula experiences!!! Did you have one? Do you wish you'ld had one? Tell me everything!!!

GIVE ME STRENGTH To be the best mum I can possibly be To have the patience required to be the mother of a toddler ... To be a fun loving wife To have the energy to do my job as a coach to my clients and gym members To be an ear for my family through the insane tough times we have had of late To just be me. This flow was a game changer today. Thank you @celestpereirayoga through @grokkerinc And no , I didn't have time to get out of my Pjs hahaha, every second counts that time of the morning. Yoga is way better in your undies anyways DISCLAIMER: Yoga is great when postpartum providing you can safely transition into the different poses without exasperating any pressure if you have a diastasis or hernia. Feeling strong and controlling pressure in one position may not translate to another position or in the actual transition. When you're doing yoga or other types of exercise do you ever feel that occurs? Strong and controlled in one position but not in another? Comment below with your findings!

None of us have our shit together I Was speaking to a fairly new mom last week and she was sharing some thoughts with me about motherhood and the things that surprised her and about things that seemed quite overwhelming... So I just wanted to put it out there that none of us have our shit together. And this parenthood journey is HARD AF. The perfect filtered instagram shots you see are not real life. Well they are, for that moment. But for the majority of the time , tha...t shot we see is not reality. It can feel: Lonely. Overwhelming. Tiring. Unsatisfying. Hard. Neverending. The amazing feelings are expected. The not so amazing feelings are hard sometimes to swallow. If you're feeling slightly overwhelmed right now, I see you.
