? Is this something you’ve thought about people you look up to or want to be like? It’s happened to me many times if I’m being honest.. and we all know painful honesty is my default. Sorry, not sorry. I can tell you all day long how easy something is, or difficult for that matter. I can tell you the how to’s, the what fors and I can show you the way and tell you how to think about it. Does that mean you are going to take the same path and... time as myself, or have the same outcome? I sure as hell hope not or you are in for one bloody hell of a ride! What NOBODY can tell you is how fast or slow you will get where you want or need to go or how hard it is going to be either physically or emotionally because the is different for on this earth! It all depends on your subconscious beliefs, history, mindset, past and present environment and so many other factors. What’s possible for you may be possible for me but that doesn’t mean it’s gonna be as tough or easy for me. Make sense so far? Mindset matters! Envision yourself where you want to be, surround yourself with like minded people and give it everything you’ve got but your successes or failures to anybody else! You are not failing if you are taking longer to get there and you sure as hell aren’t any better than the guy in last place if you get there first. I’m here to tell you, when you frequently throw your cock out by speaking of how much better you are than the guy behind you you’re bound to get it cut off in the door when it closes behind him as he passes you by! ? This is a something that I feel like we have all experienced at some point in our lives, if even on a subconscious level. I know for sure that I have and that I have in fact heard it said many times in my life. There is a problem with this dialogue though, whether from an outside source or the biatch in your head. How in the SAM HECK could we all get to ...where we are going at exactly the same time when we sure as shit didn't get to today via the same route or at the same speed, did we? Some people are naturals, were born with it, born into it, started 20 years before you did. On the other hand some people have had a lot bigger struggles, obstacles, and trials than you have so they will very likely have more work to do on themselves and their old beliefs than you do along the way, so naturally they will cross the finish line to said goal after you. There is always going to be somebody or something that is "better than you" and there will also always be people that need you to help them and show them the way because they have a tougher time or a longer road ahead than you do. Be kind and non judgemental to the people ahead of you, they had to work to get there too!. Be extremely kind and understanding to the folks that are coming up behind you, you know what it's like to feel less than and have to fight, give a hand whenever you can! Most importantly be compassionate with yourself - for Christ Sake we all have to get there in our own time, our own way and face our own version of Hell however many times it appears along the way. Do you remember a year ago, the changes that you promised yourself you were going to make as soon as (insert life's happenings here) is through? Did you see that through or are you in the same or worse spot than you were a year ago? I spent month over month, year over year promising that I was going to quit drinking, smoking and start getting healthy as soon as..... Bman is all settled in school Money isn't such a worry and I can afford a coach My shoulders aren't so sore My lower back settles down I have more time .. and so on.. It took me hitting rock bottom emotionally, having very little use of my left shoulder and depression that was almost to the point of taking over to get my ass in gear and get healthy What is one thing that is holding you back from achieving your goals? ? I’m definitely finding that it gets in the way more now than it did a year ago, naturally with the challenges we have been faced with this year with lockdown and all kinds of new normal to adjust to and I feel like it can really put a damper on momentum. !... 1. I try extremely hard to get a decent amount of sleep. I struggle with getting more than about 3-5 hours on a good night, so have learned to allow myself to rest my eyes again for an hour sometime before the sun comes up. I highly recommend getting 6 8 hours of restful sleep, even if it is a process to get there. 2. I drink between 3 and 4 litres of water a day and find that it not only keeps my skin and body in better condition, but it helps me with anxiety and moods. Try to increase your water intake overtime until you reach 3 to 4 L a day. 3. I have removed all toxic influences in my life from friends, family, habits, and other things that have weighed me down for decades. It is in fact okay to set boundaries and remove toxic people and situations from your life. 4. I lift weights 6 days a week and incorporate metabolic conditioning 3 days a week for that extra little push, I find it helps to level off my energy and stress a good deal to do both. My advice is to set aside 45 mins to an hour 3 5 days a week to get your body moving and clear your mind. 5. I eat a TON of whole foods. I limit junk food to one treat day per week and have small little treats here and there. If I allow myself on super junky meal per week (this is pizza and wings for me) as well as one other small treat on the weekend I do not feel as though I am missing anything. If you are stressed eating, try eating fruit and sweeten a cup of tea with honey, I find that keeps the Sweet tooth atbay. Only we can make life easier on ourselves, right!? ? See more

Try this out fam.. healthy, light and delish. Sometimes I add sesame seeds and a little hot sauce... all added yumminess!! & ... - beef top sirloin, lean - beef broth, low sodium - broccoli - cornstarch - brown sugar / - garlic / - brown rice (cooked) . Slice onions into thin strips and slice beef into thin, 1-inch pieces. . Coat skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. . Add beef and onion and stir fry until browned and cooked through. Remove onto a plate and keep warm. . Add half the broth and broccoli to pan. Cover and simmer until broccoli is cooked to desired tenderness. . In a small bowl, mix cornstarch, brown sugar, and garlic powder with remaining broth. . Add to the pan and cook over medium heat until mixture begins to thicken, stirring constantly. . Return beef/onion to the pan and heat through. . Serve over cooked brown rice. MY WORLD when I wake up in the morning on those days when I just don’t feel like it, and it happens, this is who I think of when life feels too hard to go on and take another step, and it has, this is who I think of ... when I’d rather let the life happen to me instead of make it happen for me, and there are days, this is who I think of when I am scared to try or scared to fail or scared to succeed, and I’m scared, this is who I think of it is hard for many to accept that the thoughts we make into our reality affect and influence those around us without even realizing it. do you think if I would’ve laid around and let life take me out that my son would do well? Probably not for a good while. if I sit around and have a pity party for myself and get in my own goddamn way every day of my life, do you think my son will have a hope of knowing how to succeed or how to even begin to push himself? .. ! I know this is a problem for many and so many of us have no idea how to tame or correct some of our acne issues other than to try every expensive cleanser out there and try to scrub it off. I remember way way back on about my 6th or 7th bout with cellulitis from a #pimple that took over half my face the doctor told me that food changes would not help and I would be on intervenus... Rx 4 times per day for 7 - 10 days hopefully avoiding lancing this bitch and wait for the next. I walked around with an IV in my hand all wrapped up and lived my life around it like nothing was wrong many times. My then husband used to get horrible looks because my face would be red, bruised and infected and my whole hand and wrist wrapped - many thought he was beating me... nope... it was #zits that had gone hog wild and taken me out, quite literally. Docs always told me that it had nothing to do with diet, and it is really only about 25% of the blame but 25% is a big deal.. for gosh sakes that a quarter of the cause! I have some tips and tricks as well as some nutrition info to help get a handle on persistent adult acne and help slow down breakouts. Get a substantial amount of vitamin A. You will find this in foods such as salmon, carrots, broccoli, squash, cantelope... all soooo yummy and good for you Eat a healthy amount of fats to level off hormones. Try having more almonds, seeds, salmon, or sardines. Your daily intake of fat should be around 20% depending on goals and biofeedback Vitamin C & E can help reduce inflamation and can be easily ingested by eating sweet potatoes, leafy greens, sunflower seeds etc Make sure you are ingesting zinc and selenium in your daily diet - good sources include pork, beef, chicken and brazil nuts (which can also help with erectile schtuffff... so that's a bonus ;)) Avoid most dairy - these are active hormone foods and can be a real pain in the acne! Watch what you eat and incorporate a healthy skin care routine! See more

Here’s what I believe How many of you can relate to the mundane, stagnant boredom and stress that accompany the challenges in the world at the moment? Are there days when you think, meh this is good enough until the Rona is over and the world goes back to normal! Guess what folks, its not good enough and the world is not changing anytime this year so how long is this reason for the monthly weight gain, shit...ty nutrition and lower moods and depression going to be okay with you? I can’t tell you the number of people who have said oh well, once the world goes back to normal I will make some changes. We are still making excuses for our own inactions but now we have the Rona to blame for it. The most common excuses most recently have been poor, to say the least: 1 I am going through some things at home and don’t have the time to get healthy, eat healthy or get my body moving for 30 mins four times per week 2 It is a real pain in the ass having to wear a mask to the grocery story so I am ordering in 4 days per week add that to reason number 1 think that one over 3 I don’t have time.. this is a cop out in this day and age to say the least. Almost every person on this earth has more free time today because of the Rona than any other time in our adult lives, without a doubt. How much more time does any person in society need than we have right now? We are not travelling as families as we normally would, we are not going to full time jobs and then hitting the pubs or going out with colleagues frequently like we normally would or could. We are not going to local eateries or cafes as often or as much as we normally would. So I ask you, what is this too busy we are all at? What is it that we are all so busy doing that we don’t have time to take care of ourselves at all? NOPE!! Much as you don’t want to hear this, excuses get you no where. More time is more damage Let’s get it D.

When you want something or you set goals do you focus on what you ARE LOSING as opposed to what the REWARDS will be at the end of the journey? Why is it that we tend to focus on what we are losing as opposed to what we are gaining when we make a change or go after what we want or NEED. If there is a job that you want but you need one last course to get the job, wouldn’t it be easier to go out and get that course when you can and reapply for the job. Instead do you f...ind yourself bitching about how the other guy got it through nepotism or some bullshit that makes you feel better about not doing what needs to be done to get where you want to be? Get the course, things change and that job or another will come up if you remain positive and stop worrying about the work you have to do to get your rewards. If you have 30 lbs to lose wouldn’t it be better to think about the goal and how you will feel once you are at a healthy weight rather than how hard it is going to be or what you have to give up to get there? So you have to get up an hour early to get a workout in a few days a week and go into a caloric deficit for a while to get rid of that extra body fat I know this isn’t easy but it also isn’t the worst thing that you will have gone through this year by a lot. You have to give something to get something. You don’t go to the gas station and fill up your car with your good looks what makes you think you are going to reach your goals without putting in the reps to get there? The things that we give up to get where we need to go are not truly sacrifices, I would call rather them excuse or vices that we are scared or reluctant to give up or change as opposed to losing anything that brings value to your life. It’s a disturbing thing to me, to sit back and listen to folks talk about themselves, and about their envy of something about others from time to time. Saying such like it’s easy for this person or that because they are thinner, taller, smaller, smarter, better educated, were brought up better, have more money, have less kids. It’s not.. if that were gospel I personally would have had no hope! I believe mor...e than anything else in my last several years journey, I have realized one thing.. it’s easier for them because.. is complete bullshit, to be quite frank. One person’s success in one aspect of their life does not mean it’s easier for them or they are, or think they are better. The weight and the climb is the same for all of us. The choices are we either continue to push, lift (this means one another as well ), drive and instill positivity in one another and ourselves. If we are always competing with anyone other than ourselves it gets harder every day to show up and to be the best version of ourselves. I’m never going to be as fit, as beautifully put together or as rich as anybody else. I’ll never be them.. I’m me and the only obligation that I have is to be better than I was yesterday.. and I believe I was pretty okay then . Be patient and be kind to yourself, and to one another. HOW I OVERCAME THE FEAR OF JUDGEMENT It is no secret that we are often held back by what other people will think. I know people who don’t do many things they love because the others don’t think they should or need to. Often people don’t want to upset the apple cart or for wanting something different so they go along with the masses giving up on things that they love, need and want.. sometimes indefinitely. I have done this my entire life! Always cared w...hat others thought and made decisions based on such. I missed out on many opportunities to advance, personal growth or the likes. I have always been so scared what others will think of me, say about me and feel towards me.. but what about how I feel about me? I had friends when I started this journey into the fitness world both in my own life and my career who balked at me, made fun, got angry with me, thought I was stupid!! Mindset? YES.! I had to pause and do some internal work and figure out what mattered most to me; sitting idle so not to stand out and be judged or living my life in a healthy manner and such a way that it positively influences people and brings happiness to my boy and I!? I finally realized that my reasons don’t have to be VALID so that people don’t judge me, they need to be valid and what is best for me and my little fam jam. You know, just because I don’t love everything that other people do doesn’t’ mean they are lower or less worthy in any way so why would I think that of myself? Remember folks, doing what is best for you and yours if far more important than what other people think. Other people don’t have to be or do exactly as you do in order to be part of your life. Are you letting the thoughts or actions of other people determine your future? Fam1200 Calories is NOT enough for most any grown adult, unless you happen to be 4'3! Christ, 14 or 1500 is not enough in most cases. I know that is what the apps are saying when you plug in your bio and state that you want extreme fat loss. So many times losing and gaining and losing and gaining this way, aren't you tired of it yet This yo-yo extreme stuff causes what is known as "diet distress" and the next thing you know (as soon as you... plateau, because you will) you are binge eating and making EXCUSES like, "life is too short I just want to enjoy it without all the restrictions." Well no shit you feel that way! You've been starving yourself and are in caveman (starvation) mode. By this point your metabolism has slowed to snail's pace for fear of running out of fuel, your hormones are whacked out AF, your moods are not likely great and your body is storing every little tiny bit of fat it can find for reserves becuase it can't figure out when you are going to refuel it again. Annnnd... now you have quit again only to start over once the weight that came off in the first couple of weeks comes back on with a few extra little fat cell buddies. Why do you think you are always starting this same bullshit diet over? Because this is NOT an effective means of sustainable and comfortable weight loss! This is a fad.. one that is never ending and ingrained in so many people's heads but when the holidays are coming or we have a function to attend or the beach trip is coming up we are good with this go to!?? I feel like many finally get so tired of this that the fear of starting over again and honestly I believe this is because the outcome never changes when you do the same thing over and over again - I believe it's called insanity. Dieting insanity we'll call it! As soon as you start back to your "normal" way of eating you are going to gain what you lost and then some. You are damaging your metabolism, throwing your hormones out of whack, throwing your moods off track and inflicting failure upon yourself before you even start. Let’s get off the roller coaster! ? Here are some of the excuses many or all of us make at some point when fighting the fear of change, especially when it is going to take a lot of work. After each I have added a truth statement to challenge said excuse. It's too expensive to grab some bands and dumbells and have a coach to help me and hold me accountable, and too expensive to eat healthy foods... I eat out three times per week and smoke 3/4 of a pack of smokes a day as well as partake in alcoholic bevvies 4 eves per week (example) I have surgery coming up in 3 months and I feel like it would be a waste to bother right now, I will after my recovery !! I am likely to gain 2 - 10 more pounds between now and then and healing will be tougher if I don't start now, not to mention if there are any complications - I had better get proactive I don't have time - We ALL have 30 minutes 3 - 5 times per week to get moving!? Have you watched a TV show today? Have you cruised social media? Have you talked on the phone to a pal? Then you have time to get moving and eat a decent meal. One of two things is happening in many cases - you are not ready to face that a change needs to be made in your life, OR you are not prepared to get committed to putting in the work to make these changes that you desire and/or desperately need - in some cases this is truly a matter of quality of life on the whole that we are making excuses to forfeit. The left I am weak, skinny fat, depressed and ALWAYS had sore shoulders and hips. The pic on the right I am strong, have incredible endurance, a strong core and little to now pain outside of a couple of old injuries that are kept unimflamed and mobile through all of my movements. I did not achieve this through extreme diets or fads. I tried many of them and always ended up a little heavier than the last tim e and more down than the first. I did exhaust all measures for years trying to get healthy from weight watchers multiple times x thousands of dollars, incredible amounts of cardio on very low calorie diets, HCG injections on 500 calories a day. Every time, and I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME I completed a 6 week boot cam...p or a challenge or fad I ended up closer to 200 lbs than when I started them. Why? Life.. excuses.. believe in extremes and low calorie diets because that is what we have be lead to believe is the answer. I tried "let's get skinny pills" off and on for years, at cayenne pepper capsules and apple cider vinegar like it was going out of style... yet that douce was always right there under my feet... staring up at me at the end of every cleanse or restart or bullshit soup diet. Only once I learned to be kind to myself, be less restrictive and not in such a rush to get skinny did the weight begin to come off and miraculously.. stay off for years now! My weight is the same number as it was 2 years ago, since then I have changed my body composition through appropriate nutrition, balancing macro splits accordingly and mastering movements and building lean muscle in the gym (or home). There is not quick fix, magic pill, injection or hypnosis that is going to get you the results you want, need and help you maintain those. Do you want to keep starting over an spinning your wheels? Are you going to keep saying after this or that or the other thing that is coming up? Wouldn't you rather feel good and be the best version of your while you navigate through life, not when you are done the next thing that you say is standing in your way? Lets talk long term sustainable results. Results that are attained by making smaller consistent changes rather than ripping all of the fun out of your life. I always know this guy is up at the skyline cafe watching over me! I got these tats after Jake passed away in honour of our mutual love for music and wish in our hearts for peace. .. and the semi colon is a statement that my story is not over yet, I was not going with him but going to heal through him and his life. ... This loss has been my absolute unravelling, my rock bottom, my broken heart. It has also been my chance to get well, to share and to heal.. and to take that pain and make something positive of it to help other people get healthy on so many levels through my pain, which brings me immense joy! Today I will not weep as I have been, I will not face this day angry as I have many years over and I will not allow today to run into tomorrow or next week. I celebrate Jake’s life, his heart and soul.. he hilarious laugh and innocent smile. Bman and I.. we gone have DQ ice cream cake and be grateful for the fact that Jake is not suffering anymore and we are slowly becoming at peace. Today I am grateful for my ability to live without judgement, to feel without shame, and to live my life and my dreams in memory and honour of my son, Jake! ¡¡ I uoz oo n I would have thought I would have the set to post a picture like this, never mind enter it in a competition and ask the world publicly to go and vote on me. ! But I did it out of pure drive and determination to be brave, be courageous, get well and make my Brenden proud of his Mum... he needed to see that I was going to do whatever it took to find a healthy way of life so that we could have a better future than what we had known.... I needed something to work towards at that time.. until I figured out where I was headed for sure. That kid of mine has cheered me on, watched me cry when it was SO HARD TO GAIN WEIGHT... yes, you heard that right. From 200 pounds pissed drunk to not able to put on fat, never mind muscle... depression and grief have a way of ruining us if we don't try our goddamndest to get well. Lifting heavy and often along with proper nutrition and so many hard push sweat seshs (yeah doesn't help with weight gain but sure does with emotional gains) and finally finding balance with all of that here I am today... 12 pound up from this pic and proud the fuck of it... happy that I had the opportunity to learn, grow, cry and realize an awful lot about the person I am way down deep.. where it really matters. Did I win... ! I submitted this pic... I got into the comp and I finished 8th in my group of an original 20... yes I won... just like I won taking 3rd in the fitness model comp that this pic was taken for... I did things that were tremendously uncomfortable in order to find my way and to grow as a human being. I don't need hardware to tell me that I am worthy or that I am beautiful or that I am a winner... I am alive today to tell about it, to share my story and to change lives. YOU ARE DAMN RIGHT!! I WON THE HARDWARE THAT I CAME FOR!! THE GROWTH UPSTAIRS WAYYYYYYYY TRUMPS ANY OTHER POSSIBLE PRIZE. I love you all SO SO much for taking the time to vote for me and to share share share my story... , !! Read that again! I have been called a fat c@^t... a skinny bitch... told I had a "gunt" when I was way sickly underweight, that I would look better if I lost 50 lbs or if I gained 30. I have been in relationships, including my family life where I was getting my face punched in, or things thrown at me, screamed at and called names. My self esteem was smashed and stomped on regularly. You... will never succeed because... was a regular thing said to me all of my life... to the point where I said and believed it myself. As long as I spent my time with those people I was failing at life... and I had to start respecting myself enough to not allow this! There will always be people who do NOT want to see you succeed and we all need to realize and accept that, and deal with it! At some point or another we have to, have a right to set boundaries, demand respect and stop putting ourselves in a position to have toxic people and relationships to blame for our losses, heartbreaks, or failures and this includes ourselves.Those people and that negative bullshit do NOT belong in our lives. Same goes for yourself.. If you tell yourself you suck - you will. If you tell yourself you can't do it - you won't. If you tell yourself it isn't possible - it isn't. You, and only you are responsible for your own happiness, health and wellbeing - why would you treat yourself so poorly and just not even bother trying based on the thoughts in your head... they are lies. The only true failure is the time you never even try! Failures build experience, character and knowledge, failures lead to success... if you keep going forward. Stop spending your time with people who hold you back.. give em and move forward.
