"Dog Days of Winter is the first feature documentary about the startup of organized freestyle skiing during the early 1970's in America. Told from the point of view of some of the most influential pioneers of the sport, "Dog Days" reveals the story of key people and events that set the stage for the birth of the sport, the spirit that freestyle is rooted in, factors that took the ‘free’ out of freestyle, and reflects on what has become of the sport today."

Nils followed up the first trip with many additional trips into this remote region. He found a rich culture that still builds and uses skis in ways that date back thousands o...f years. 'Skiing in the Shadow of Genghis Khan' takes you on a tour of both the place and the people, showing you how they build and use this ancient style of skis while living in a harsh but beautiful part of the world.
