ONLY TWO NIGHTS LEFT!!! Thanks for this. Well done! Of particular enjoyment is the segment on the history of the Christmas Carol. Both the history and the quartet harmonies were awesome. Love those Victorian Costumes too. Thanks for the story telling as well Ryan with my favourite Christmas tale :) and all of you for bringing some light and levity to the 2020 Christmas season. We wish you a Merry Christmas too! Cheers :) J&M
A sneak preview from a Christmas Cabaret Catastrophe featuring Sabrielle McCurdy-Foreman and Nick Varelas. The show has seriously great music, stories and seriously bad riddles. Streaming on Dec 18, 19, 21, 22 at 7:30 and Sunday, Dec 20 at 2pm. Ticket $15 from www.firstimpressionstheatre.com
The first time I spoke to Sabrielle was after watching a rehearsal. Her character was a sweet, innocent teenager; I completely bought into it and was speaking to that girl. I was taken aback when I realized I was actually addressing a very smart, confident young woman. A great actor, but, oh, that voice! Sabrielle's powerful, sure voice fills our theatre with joy, we are so glad she is in our concert.
A fantastic musician, his band was really on fire with bookings earlier this year. Then Covid struck and the bookings were cancelled and there have been no new ones. If there is a silver lining, I do not expect Nick would have been available for this concert if his world hadn't been stopped in March. He is not alone, musicians, actors and other performers and crew are suppressing their amazing talents. I am looking forward to the explosion of talent we will see before too long.
It's not difficult to find people who are struggling while following all the a Covid safety protocols; it is unbelievably hard on the performing community. Especially at this time of year when work and volunteer opportunities usually abound. We are all so lucky to have so much talent out there just waiting in the wings to thrill and amaze you. We cannot wait until the curtains rise again. Thanks for your support!
