How do I set aside the time or space I need to make healthy choices? It is a privilege to get to make this decision. But it is a choice we either make or it will be made for us. We take for granted our healthy bodies. Especially during this pandemic, it’s easy to push aside your goals for more appealing options in the moment. Even for 1 minute, ever day, make the choice. Do 10 squats whenever you sit somewhere. Do 10 push-ups against the stairs when you pass them. Take 5 deep... breaths once an hour. Cut up the veggies right when you get home and store in clear containers so you see them first in the fridge. Find yummy protein dips at the grocery store. There are many. And remember to reach out. Or don’t. The point is, do what feels good. Try a yoga or Pilates class online. Dance around the living room. Bundle up and walk, snowshoe, ski or sled. Then come in for hot tea and cuddles. Or.....try a session of personal training. Or bring a friend or two. Online, outside or hopefully soon, at your house. Customize your workout to achieve your goals and enjoy the journey.
