-Kettlebell swings- Did you know that dancing salsa and swinging a kettlebell have a lot in common? Its.all.in.the.hips. When performed correctly it is an exercise that builds total body strength, power and balance all while improving your cardio. This exercises emphasis on the posterior chain-the major muscles in the backside of the body-the bodys powerhouse which makes it a great exercise to do when you find yourself sitting a lot in front of the computer (hello Covi...d-life?) and dont have access to any gym equipments. So how do we perform it exactly: 1. Stand tall while holding the Kettlebell loosely, squeeze shoulder blades together and engage your core. Soften knees and lower but back and down towards an imaginary wall behind you. 2. Driving through your heels, explode through the hips to send the weight swinging upward from the quads. Aim for chest height or just above eye level. 3. Let the weight come down on its own as you shift your weight back into your heels, hinging at the hips and allowing the kettlebell to ride between legs. 4. As it makes the transition from backward to forward, drive through the hips and heels to repeat. - Try it as a finishers at the end of your workouts and aim to do 50 repetitions without any breaks. So I did a thing... A month ago I underwent a non-invasive facelift called Ultheraphy and my face has been looking fresh. (Btw I made a vlog about it on my YouTube channel so stay tuned!) Thanks to @mylesesthetic for making me look vibrant and glowing and the fun part; it gets better with time. My husband noticed something but couldnt tell what! - Now Im not sure if its part of aging or being a busy mom but I just dont have that much time to look pretty so I am wondering, what are your tips for keeping your face and skin younger looking (asides from exercises and clean eating). Share away any tips mommas, Id like to hear!

Due to Covid-19 pandemic, I was forced to close down the studio I rent and had to find ways to work virtually. I also revamped my YouTube channel and used this platform to help many of my friends, family and clients continue to move their body and stay healthy during confinement. This platform has grown so much since March and this is all thanks to YOU! My drive for fitness remains the same: to help improve the quality of lives of many and even when studios and in-person... training slowed down, Im glad Im able to find ways to keep that passion alive. When you are trying to lose fat, its easy to get caught up in things that overall dont matter much: Removing carbs from diet Increased Cardio output Meal timing Supplements... - You dont have to eat at certain intervals to stoke anything. Just stay in a deficit, your body wont suddenly process food differently at the stroke of 8pm, but hey if this is the kind of lifestyle you like by all means go ahead, but its not the timing that will help its your ability to stay consistent. - Because Its not about when. Its about how much. - Pre Workout and supplements are not necessary for fat loss. If you like a pre workout you can save yourself a lot of money and have some coffee beforehand, or use the pre workout you like, but understand it is not required. If it makes you feel great, then by all means go for it. - And if you dont have your nutrition in place, supplements shouldnt even be on your mind. By definition, supplements are in addition to, not in place of. - Get your nutrition in place first. Dont come out of the gate wondering what protein powder you should be using. Or what miracle drink will make your tummy shrink! - Food first. - And please, please, PLEASE realize that you do not have to exclude an entire food group in order to lose fat. And I am not talking about people with food allergies, etc. I am talking about the average person like you and me. And dont even get me started with doing tons of cardio... - So whats the best fat-loss secret then? - Unfortunately there aint, focus on whats not trendy and is boring. - The stuff that works: - Calorie Deficit Protein Including foods you love> This is really a must for longterm success. Plus life is too short not to Strength Training Consistency Patience - Stay the course, and keep the focus where it needs to be. SO this is your reminder to take a look at your body and acknowledge how strong and how capable you are. This 5 second-hold on top was an intense one which you NEED to try.
