Yesterday was a heavy day indeed. While my wife and I were out walking our dogs, I received a text from a client asking if I’d heard of the passing of one of the tenants in our office building. It turned out, the tenant was one of my friends of more than 30 years. Veronica Thompson is a fighter (known as Vee to her friends). Veronica passed away over the weekend after battling sickness for quite some time. Surprisingly, very few of us even knew she was sick. That’s the kind of person Veronica was. Never trying to burden anyone with her problems. We miss you Vee! What’s going on Fitnatics! I got a question for ya. Assuming you already wear some kind of mask as a result of Covid, how long should you wear that mask for? Should you reuse it? Can you wash it? There are so many differing opinions on this matter, that it’s no wonder so many of us flat-out refuse to wear one at all. Rather than say you you should or shouldn’t, let me just say that I do wear one, as I work with the public, and it’s important that I be as responsible as possib...le if I’m pro health (I AM!). Since I wear a mask daily, as do many of you, the general consensus would seem to dictate that you change your mask frequently. Why? Well, what happens to the contaminants trapped in your mask? Better yet, what is the long term effect of rebreathing contaminants trapped in an old mask? Checkout the links I’ve provided, and do some research of your own, and you be the judge. Me? Well... I intend to discard mine after each use if possible. However, should masks become scarce, we’ll be faced with yet another problem.
