Good evening! Here are the official mandatory poses for 6 specific CPA Disciplines; Bikini, Figure, Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s Classic Physique, Men’s Physique a...nd Women’s Physique. (Missing : Fitness & Women’s Bodybuilding). Please familiarize yourselves with the changes as the CPA posing now follows NPC (National Physique Committee) rules and regulations. These are great reference tools for you the competitor and the posing coaches. Please note: as per the seminars held recently; there are no longer any quarter turns in Bikini and Men’s Physique (they are now Half Turns). There are no changes for the Figure Division, quarter turns remain. For Women’s Physique, the Abdominal and Thigh Pose has been added to the mandatory poses and WP competitors will now do quarter turns. For Men’s Classic Physique, Men’s Bodybuilding and Women’s Bodybuilding, no changes in mandatory poses, but there will be quarter turns for these disciplines as well. For Men's Classic Physique and Women's Physique: The Quarter Turns will be done first than the mandatories. For Bodybuilding: The Quarter Turns will be incorporated with the Mandatory Poses. i.e. Front pose (first quarter turn), Front Double Bicep, Front Lat Spread, Quarter Turn to the right , side of your choice Side Chest, Quarter Turn To the back , Back Double Bicep, Back Lat Spread, Quarter Turn to the right , side of your choice Side Tricep, Face the front Abdominal & Thigh Pose. The most muscular will be optional at the discretion of the judges. If you require any clarification on the poses, please message us or visit the website www.canadianphysiquealliance.com for all specific information regarding each division. For contests offering Women’s Bodybuilding, there will be quarter turns and 7 mandatory poses; Front Double Bicep, Front Lat Spread, Side Chest, Side Tricep, Rear Double Bicep, Rear Lat Spread and Abdominals with one thigh. For contests offering Fitness, there is now only one round of competition. Competitors will do their routine of up to 90 seconds in length. The mandatory movements within the routine that should be included and in no specific order are as follows; Push Up (of any kind), High Kicks, Side Split and Straddle Hold. BONUS: There will now be an individual presentation round in the Pre-Judging Segment for each competitor. For Bikini, Men’s Physique and Figure, they will have a 15 second individual presentation round. For Bodybuilding, Men’s Classic Physique and Women’s Physique, they will have a 30 second free posing individual presentation round (with house music). Following their individual presentations for each discipline, each competitor will exit the stage and get lined up backstage in numerical order. The class will return to the stage in groups of 5 and compared. After those 5 are compared, they will be sent to the sideline and the next 5 will enter the stage compared and sent to the sideline, etc until the entire class is compared. The 1st callouts will take place, compared and sent off stage. The 2nd and 3rd callouts will follow and procedure will be repeated. For the evening show, Bikini, Figure and Men’s Physique will repeat their 15 second individual presentation round at night. Depending on the size of the show and # of competitors, it will be at the promoter’s discretion whether or not they exit the stage following their presentation or remain on stage lined up on the side lines. The awards for Top 5 will be presented. For Fitness, the competitor’s 90 second fitness routine will be repeated for the night show and exit the stage and the entire class will return for the awards. Both Bodybuilding Divisions (Men and Women), Men’s Classic Physique and Women’s Physique will be called out individually to do their 60 second posing routine. They will exit the stage following their routines. Depending on the size of the classes, it will be at the promoter’s discretion if only the TOP 5 do their routines or the entire class. After their routines are completed, the TOP 5 will be called back to the stage for the awards presentation. If you have any questions, kindly email myself directly or any CPA Promoter pertaining to their shows. The stage procedures outlined above for the Evening Show may differ from show to show. This post is reference to all CPA shows in New Brunswick and Newfoundland only* Please verify with the Promoters in other provinces to confirm their evening procedures. *PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THESE IMAGES WITH YOUR ATHLETES AND POSING COACHES*
