A calorie deficit occurs when you consume fewer calories than your body expends. A calorie deficit of 500 calories per day is effective for healthy and sustainable weight loss. Liquid calories. If liquid calories are a problem for you, try to steer yourself toward healthier, lower calorie choices. Water, mineral water and plain iced tea are great. If you can't handle the taste of plain water, try mixing in just a splash of fruit juice for flavor. Exercise. You should tra...in at least three times a week if you want to achieve your health and fitness goals in a reasonable amount of time, and stay fit and healthy. Proteins. It's recommended to have 10 and 25 grams of protein for each main meal, particularly if it's after physical activity. Having the protein intake spread out over the course of the day helps satiety and also helps to improve muscle mass. Veggies like leafy greens, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, peppers and celery have a low calorie density. That means that they're low in calories for their serving sizebut because they're high in water and fibre, they have more volume, which means they take up more space in your stomach. Sleep. It keeps our heart healthy. Not getting enough sleep can lower your sex drive, weaken your immune system, cause thinking issues, and lead to weight gain. Get more steps. 10,000 steps or more is the goal. Consistency. Do one thing at a time and be in the present moment.

Let's talk abs! A common misconception is that you have to train them daily via crunches, planks, etc to have visible abs. I disagree! You actually train and strengthen your core whenever you do any type of exercise like squats, deadlifts, rows, press, etc. The heavier you lift, the more your core works to stabilize.... So how do you get abs?! You need to lose overall body fat. You can do so by strength training regularly, doing cardio regularly and by eating in a caloric deficit. You can still do abs regularly if you enjoy them. Just don't think they're the only way to achieving this goal.
