Our day started today with this lovely gift from Dawn Mucci, the President, and CEO of LiceSquad.com in Barrie. We have been working for a few months now on an original song of gratitude project spearheaded by Dawn, with music by composer Artemis Chartier. A couple of weeks ago, we recorded the final components in our studio and are now headed to the edit suite to pull it all together.

The organization has been working on this project for months now and is thrilled to have the printed copies out in the community. The calendar feature...s women in the Simcoe County area who have shown remarkable resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. They've juggled school, jobs, small businesses, parenting and more throughout this difficult time. Each month features a different woman and her story of how COVID-19 impacted her life, as well as what she's done to cope and adapt in her professional and personal life. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused what experts have dubbed a "SHE-cession", with women suffering disproportionately higher job losses and being hired back at a lower rate than men. Dress for Success Orillia and Barrie believes in the perseverance, intelligence and skills of women and seeks to celebrate these qualities in the new calendar. The organization believes that women are enormous assets to their employers, to business communities and to their community in general. Dress for Success Orillia and Barrie would like to extend special thanks to local talents Samantha Budd of Elephant Shoe Photography who took all the photos, and David Sauder who designed the calendar.
