We tackled a big project in the last couple days, the cows and calves finally came home for weaning. . Weaning is the time of year that we separate moms and babes to vaccinate both. This is an important stage for the cows so they can focus all their energy on themselves and their growing fetus. The calves are now old enough and have been taught all the lessons they need to flourish on their own:) . We do this process in the most stress free and humane way possible to ensure a smooth transition.
