The logistics of a virtual, online rehearsal are challenging, true, but we are absolutely up to the challenge! Yes. the Flagstaff Players are hard at work poli...shing characters. practicing our accents and generally getting "Guards! Guards!!" ready for an audience. When the isolation and quarantine orders are relaxed, we look forward to sharing the results of our hard work and Terry Prachett's great story of power, love, courage, service and DRAGONS!

April 8th is Terry Pratchett day, and in honour of the author of the many books which our upcoming play is based on, last night we did a first... an online read through of Terry Pratchett’s Guards! Guards! adapted by Stephen Briggs. Unprecedented times.

This popped up in my memories from four years ago. The cast of Live from Sedgewick... It’s Saturday Night! If you were in this variety show or one of the audience, post your favourite memory of it in the comments below.

Paused but not abandoned. We were getting really excited about being off book soon, gathering costumes and creating some really awesome props for our amateur presentation of Terry Pratchett’s Guards! Guards! adapted by Stephen Briggs. Alas, this virus pandemic, more disruptive than a 60 foot dragon wreaking havoc across the city of Ankh Morpork, has brought rehearsals to a sudden halt. While we are waiting to hear what our local authorities require us to do to keep the virus at bay, many of us suddenly have a lot of extra time to work on fun stuff at home. So please stay tuned for announcements about performance dates and ticket sales. When the social distancing restrictions are lifted, we will be eager to get back to our group efforts of presenting our audiences with a fantastic show well worth the wait.

Help me sort out. What years did we (the Players). perform: And then there were none? The first "Wonderful Life" (reprise 2012)... Odd Couple (female version ) Cemetery Club "I'll Take This Man" Curse You Jack Dalton. Have we done two Sedgewick Saturday Night Variety Shows or three? I remember the medical version and the Christmas one. Was there a third?) Which years?
