Today is the global movement 'Giving Tuesday'. It is a chance for people to support the charity of their choice. Despite the difficulties of the past year, our ...passion for Flamenco dance and music has not dwindled. Albeit at a reduced capacity, we have kept our focus on delivering Flamenco performances to our beloved audiences, and Flamenco dance classes and workshops to our dear community via online and in studio instruction. Flamenco Rosario has been finding alternative ways to support artist practices. We presented the work of our local artists through outdoor and socially distanced live performances over 2 days on the Picnic Pavilion Stage on Granville Island. Our 30th Vancouver International Flamenco Festival shifted online and brought artists works from Spain, Quebec, Saskatoon and Vancouver to the screens of our audience. Via online rehearsals, our 2020 Creative Residency artist Albert Hernandez (Spain) has been busy creating a new with our company dancers to be presented in 2021. We are now busy implementing our 2021 programming, which will include online workshops and classes by local, national and international artists, live streamed performances from across the globe, local live performances, and other unique ways to bring Flamenco dance and music to you. We are always grateful for the support of our followers which in turn supports the many artists and technical teams that we engage, as well as the many diverse communities that we touch through our programs. Yesterday we opened the Vancouver International Flamenco Festival with 4 incredible performances by local Vancouver artists. Today we have the same 4 artists pl...us one! Come and join us and our cultural partners Granville Island at the Picnic Pavilion (behind the Waterfront theatre) for performances from 1pm-5pm. We have seated space for the 1pm & 2pm shows, and have sold out for the 3pm, 4pm & 5pm.
