Last week, our Engineering Lead, Greg, took one for the team and went on a solo-mapping-trip to a post-wildfire site in Elk Lake, Ontario. We will be planting 5 different species across an Ontario environment, and can't wait to plant dozens of species and hundreds of thousands of trees this Spring across the Canadian Boreal and Pacific Coastal Rainforests. Please join us in saying hello! Hello! My name is Cameron Jones, and I am the Chief Operating Officer and one of the co-founders of Flash Forest. As COO I am responsible for overseeing business operations and, most recently, managing the details of our investment rounds. I am fortuna...te to be in a role that allows me to wear multiple hats and get a lens into the incredible work that this entire team is doing around the clock. Prior to Flash Forest, I was a Director of Project Management at the Government of Alberta and also worked on climate change policy with the Department of Energy for three years. Parallel to Flash Forest, I work with another startup called blocksEDU, where I write curriculum on Corporate Social Responsibility and Renewable Energy for schools like the University of Alberta and Dalhousie.
