Had another interesting project. Down in the gun range we replaced the existing wall that seperates the gun range from the class room. The clients wanted a soun...d dampening wall as it was hard to hold a conversation on the other side while the range was in use. Ended up constructing a double 2x4 wall 1 apart from each other with staggered studs, both walls and part of the ceiling got roxul safe and sound insulation and two layers of 5/8 drywall with a product called Green glue between layers. Also a double sound dampening door system. As noise is a vibration in the air, it was important to add as much mass as possible to dampen them. See more
