NEW ON THE CHURCH BLOG: As we study the Contemporary Testimony as a community, we will be addressing contemporary issues related to sin and brokenness in our world. Our church library has put together some great resources to help you in your understanding of the racial injustices in Canada that are affecting Indigenous peoples and communities. If you are interested in these books or others, the church library is open for self-checkout during office hours.

Last week, we baked a total of 26 dozen banana muffins for Surrey Urban Mission! Thank you to all who volunteered. We will be having another muffin baking session this Thursday from 1-3PM. If you want to be added to the email list, please let Sarah know at [email protected]
Reminder that our services will now be live streamed only until further notice. A few people will be in the building in order for our service to be live streamed so that we can all still all worship together at home. We will share in communion together this Sunday, so you are reminded to please prepare your elements at home. As always, you can find links to the bulletin, giving, and the live stream on our website at fleetwoodcrc.org We hope you have a blessed time of worship in your homes.
Our Halloween Drive-Thru event this afternoon was incredible! It was great to see so many people from our local and church community come out, have some fun and leave with a bunch of candy. We had 75 cars pass through our church parking lot this afternoon, a steady stream for two straight hours! It was even described by one girl as "the best Halloween drive-thru she had ever been to." Thank you so much to all of our amazing volunteers and our great balloon artist, Kristal, who helped out today and those helped this past week with putting it all together. Thank you to everyone who donated candy as well, we basically used all of it!
Thank you to our awesome volunteers for helping us put together decorations and goodie bags for our Halloween Drive-Thru event!
Join us on Saturday, October 31st from 3-5pm at our Halloween Drive-Thru: Quarantine-O-Ween edition event! All you need to do is dress up in a costume, bring a friend, and drive on through our church parking lot. There will be games, free candy, prizes, and more. Hope to see you there!
The Tent of Togetherness is back up! Thanks to Brian, Case, Jim and Tom for fixing it and putting it up today.
Join us on Friday, October 16 to bake muffins for Surrey Urban Mission. All ages welcome, no experience required - just bring your own mask, apron, and servant heart! If you are interested in joining us, please email [email protected] or comment down below. See you there!
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever." - Psalm 118:1 Happy Thanksgiving! Normally we would have a way in church for you to share what you are thankful for, but since we aren't having our traditional Thanksgiving service this year, please share in the comments what you are thankful for!
Our morning worship service has now been uploaded to YouTube. It’s missing the first few minutes, but please watch to enjoy the first part of our baptism service this morning! Thank you for your patience! Watch now: https://youtu.be/17__vomO2Vs
It's a busy weekend at Fleetwood CRC! Tonight: Short Outdoor Thanksgiving Service @ 5, followed by pick-up of food prepared by Good Shepherd CRC for those who signed up. Tomorrow: Worship Service @ 10, Online and In-Person if registered. There are only a few spots remaining if you wish to attend in person! Pastor Tom will be preaching on Genesis 2:15 and Contemporary Testimony 10: "We are Earthkeepers." We will also be celebrating the baptisms of Pinky, Kshitika and Eldon. ... Since they have asked for full immersion baptism in the ocean, most of the ceremony will be done in the sanctuary while the actual baptism will be done at Blackie Spit near Crescent Beach directly after the service at 12 noon (ish). The congregation is welcome to come to that public space to witness this joyful event, but physical distancing rules will still apply, and masks are to be worn if physical distance is not possible.
2020 has certainly had it's challenges, although we are reminded to give thanks in all circumstances, as the remainder of this verse states "for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." Creation and the wonderful nature that surrounds us here in BC is something we can be very grateful for! Our kids have been asked to share something in creation that they are thankful for and to show us what that is. We'd like to extend this project to the rest of the congregation. Send us your photos of something in creation that you are thankful for this week and we'll included it in next week's service!
"O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth." Psalm 8:1 Did you worship with us this morning? We might have had a few technical difficulties, but that doesn't stop us from worshipping our loving God. Watch the service on YouTube and check out our Facebook page to see our call to worship video from this morning with proper sound!

"From the beginning, through all the crises of our times, until the kingdom fully comes, God keeps covenant forever: Our world belongs to God!... God is King: Let the earth be glad! Christ is victor: his rule has begun! The Spirit is at work: creation is renewed! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!" - Contemporary Testimony 2 Missed this morning's service? You can watch it on our YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZLiXN8xeKg
