No matter how much scouting you do it doesn’t always go as planned. Went north, birds went south. Still managed a dozen birds. Most of the birds have moved on from Southern Alberta, can only hope there is more coming. Got out for some more Flight Control this morning. Birds are few and far between but when you find them numbers are growing. Winds were insane pushing 100km but Roland and I managed 17 this morning. Emery is enjoying the spring workout. Seems we all need the exercise after this last winter. After almost a week of snow and wind in Southern Alberta, and a lot of birds have left. But not the Big Canada’s. Dale and Roland shot a quick 2 man limit of Greys and a bonus snow that stopped by. The Canada’s averaged 11 lbs. with a couple weighing in at just over 12 lbs. We walked in so as not to leave tracks in the 8 inches of snow on the field. 120 Big Al’s Greaters and Score Ammo got the job done. We drove in to pick up with all the added weight.
