NOT SPCA DOGS. We are posting to help the owners out. Libby, Sophie (age 4) and I have not seen our aging family in Cape Breton and Ontario due to Covid-19 restrictions. After some deep soul searching, we have decided to take one year off of work, sell our house, and visit our families for a year. Sadly, due to living arrangement restrictions at our families’ homes, we are unable to bring our dogs with us. Therefore, we are seeking two caring families to adopt one dog each ...(indoor dogs). We are separating the dogs as they do not get along with each other and could really benefit from the love and living independently on their own with a caring family. Jack 5 years old (adopted as puppy from the SPCA in Prince Albert - Aug 29, 2015) Male (neutered and fully vaccinated) No medical issues - fully healthy Diet of Coop brand organic dog food ($30 on sale lasts 5 weeks - 1 cup twice a day) Not fed human food Indoor dog that sleeps in his own bed Great around children Does not like his paws touched. Does not always get along with other dogs. Loves chasing squirrels. We live on a private half acre of property at the end of Creighton. An in-ground dog fence with audio/vibration collars are used to keep Jack from roaming away (Does not provide electric shock - audio/vibration only). Jack is not walked on a regular basis, but roams freely and plays on the property 3 to 5 times a day. Cora 5 years old (adopted as puppy from the SPCA in Prince Albert - Aug 29, 2015) Female (Spayed and fully vaccinated) No medical issues - fully healthy Diet of Coop brand organic dog food ($30 on sale lasts 5 weeks - 1 cup twice a day) Not fed human food Indoor dog that sleeps in her own bed Great around children Does not like being removed from couch or human bed. Does not always get along with other dogs. Loves to snuggle. Loves to play fetch with sticks. We live on a private half acre of property at the end of Creighton. Reminder We are only open by appointments! Appointments can be made by calling the shelter at 204-687-8744 or sending us a message. We are taking appointments for Mondays to Fridays noon to 4:30 and Saturdays noon to 3:30.... We would like to thank you for your cooperation during this time!

We would like to let everyone know that we do not pick up animals. Animals are brought to us from concerned citizens who are worried about the animals. We then make a post asking if anyone knows whose animal it is that we have and that they have 72 hours to pick up said animal with proof of ownership. After the 72 hours the animal comes into our care and is then put up for adoption. If the owner contacts us after the 72 hours there is a boarding fee and possible medical charges (depending on the condition of the animal). If you are the owner you need to call (204-687-8744) or message us and let us know.

Noel is off on a trial adoption!! ADOPTION PENDING! Our sweet sweet Noel, she is still looking for her forever home. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines and rabies. She is a medium dog, the perfect size! She loves to be outside playing and will play fetch. She doesn't bring the ball all the way back but it's a work in progress. She also loves to cuddle and loves belly rubs. ...
