Home Routes is thrilled to present the 2021 Winnipeg Crankie Festival FREE, streaming online, over the weekend of Mar 5-7th. All are welcome, we are streaming on facebook and youtube. Madeleine Roger JD Edwards Coco Love Alcorn Sunday, March 7 Walking Wolf Ray Co-Co Stevenson Chenoa McKelvey Andy Cohen Andrina Turenne David Graham Cathy Jordan Al Simmons This year, the Crankie Festival has assembled an incomparable lineup, featuring local and international acts, and is being offered at no charge, streaming on facebook and youtube. Designed as an interactive and participatory online festival, participants will be able to personally engage with the music, art, workshops, and fellowship within our community. As a special presentation, on Saturday March 6 we’re in cahoots with the Berkeley Old Time Music Convention’s Spring Sitch, featuring a Crankie Cabaret at 2pm CT. Lessons & Carols postponed to Christmas 2021 but don't forget the foodbank! For 15 years the Borealis Choir has celebrated the coming of Christmas with their annual Service of Lessons and Carols, to support the Lord’s Bounty Foodbank. Sadly, this year, we can’t go ahead with this popular event, but the foodbank still needs your support this time maybe more than ever! Through December, for your enjoyment, I’ll share some of our favourite carols from past years and hopefully ...we can continue this tradition in 2021. Donations to the foodbank can be by e-transfer to [email protected] or by cheque mailed to 2 Hiawatha Ave. Flin Flon, MB, R8A 0X3. Donations of food can be dropped off at 2 Hiawatha: Tuesdays 8:00 to 1:00, Wednesdays 8:00 to 11:30 and Thursdays 1:00 to 3:00 or in the foodbank bins at the Co-op.
