Sturdy vintage desk. I want it distressed to show the wood underneath, but not sure what colour to choose. There's the classic white, gray, or black, or something a little brighter like blue or green! Decisions, decisions...

Our hearts go out to small businesses and employees who can't work through lock downs. I'm so fortunate to be able to at least accumulate stock even if some are hesitant to shop right now. This heavy and ornate piece is getting a spray makeover! I instantly thought navy when I saw it and my client agrees. Paint covers a lot, and while some imperfections may still be visible under direct white light, I do my best to sand the surface scratches down, and fill dents with wood filler. Then the paint covers any variance in colour between the stain on top and the wood underneath. Makes a big difference, and this quality piece will have new life!

Wallpaper is making a comeback! A peel-and-stick backdrop makes furniture even more customizable to current decor or interior design styles. This pop of shiplap will match my clients' accent ceiling! Tip: if you want to try this at home, order online early! Supplies in store are limited, and shipping to the store took about 6 weeks.

Farmhouse fresh It's amazing what's underneath the stain of older, dark furniture. And, if you literally check underneath sometimes you can find clues to its origins. These end tables were handcrafted in Chesley by Heirloom of Canada, Ltd in the 70s!
