After January 17th you may still sign up, you just might not get the spot you were hoping for. When you sign up, it will show you as waitlisted, don't worry I will manually move you into your spot, it just was the only way our system would allow us... to hold spots! New families may start signing up now too! When you register, you will be waitlisted. You may choose more than one class as you may not make it into the one you want, just leave a comment in the notes section with your preference order:) January 18th I will start moving you into the open spaces in the order you were waitlisted. Osoyoos Update: Unfortunately with the extension of the health order, the Osoyoos Legion is continuing their closure. This means we are unable to restart our classes until that time. I have reached out to the community center to see about the possibility of renting their space, if anyone has any other ideas of a temporary host, please reach out to me. I will send out an email tonight about payments.

Osoyoos Update: We will talk to the Legion on Monday December 7th (the day the current health orders lift) and see what their plan is. If they give the go-ahead, then we will be on for Wednesday; if they don't, we will have to postpone a little longer. I will keep you updated as I know. Thanks!

Our updated Covid Policy: Children’s sports in BC has returned to Phase 2 as of Dec 3, 2020. New measures include distancing of 3 meters at all times, no spectators, and focusing on activities that pose a low risk of transmission. We will continue to sanitize regularly, clean touch points on equipment between classes, keep our numbers small and groups consistent, and watch for symptoms of illness in participants. Coaches will continue to wear masks during class, and there w...ill be no spotting, unless your child is in danger. We ask parents of children over 5 to drop them and pick up outside the door. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early, and ensure you are prompt for pickup. If your child requires you to stay, please check ahead with the office by email. When entering, your child can either wear a mask or ensure they have waited until the path is clear in order to stay distanced properly. All adult caregivers must wear a mask while spectating or participating. There will be coloured tape squares at the edge of the gym mats, for keeping water bottles and masks etc, to avoid congregating in a bunch while getting drinks. Each participant will be in their square while waiting for class to start, drinking water, or waiting to be dismissed. We keep attendance records for contact tracing, should it be necessary. Please check over your child for cold/flu/covid-like symptoms before bringing them to the gym. Children who appear to have or complain of having a fever, chills, cough or worsening of chronic cough, shortness of breath, loss of sense of taste or smell, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting, will be sat separately and parents called for pickup. Working together to follow these guidelines is the best way for our activities to start to look normal again, please help us to get there.

We are able to reopen! We will be updating our Covid policies to ensure we are in compliance but for now I just wanted to make sure you all heard the good news! We will plan to start classes on Monday, December 7. I will also update you all on refunds/makeup classes in the coming days. Have a good weekend!

Osoyoos is going to be Flip'PEN too! We are excited to be starting an 8 week mobile program out of Osoyoos to spread our love of gymnastics to our south Okanagan neighbours! Registration opens tomorrow @ 9am from our website, www.flippengym.ca

Update: We have no update. We are still closed indefinitely. I have scoured the internet looking for an estimated release date for the guidelines we are waiting on and I haven't found anything, but I have heard gossip that says Dec 4. I have reached out to Viasport and the Gov't helpline asking for more information, if we hear anything back we will let you all know. Our new schedule and signups for the Spring session was set to be released today, but we have decided that unt...il we know how long before we can reopen and therefore our action plan for finishing this fall session, it is prudent to hold off. I can say this, the spring schedule is likely to look very similar to the current schedule. According to the Health Orders, gyms are allowed to operate for private sessions, so if that is something you may be interested in, let us know and we can figure something out. You can reach out to the office if you have further questions, hope to have more and better news for you soon. Thanks all!

UPDATE!!! After reaching out to GymnasticsBC, we have been advised that athletes do not have to wear a mask while participating! Until ViaSport weighs in, then things my change, but for now, mask-free class! We are still limiting viewing to parents of children under 5, and they must wear masks. Looks like we will be shutting down for the next couple of weeks, as the BC government has now opted to shut down all indoor Sports. We will keep you all updated when/if we find out the new guidelines..

We are planning to run classes tonight and tomorrow, please let us know if you plan on staying home instead! FB message or email is best! Thanks and be careful out there!

Classes will be running as regularly as possible. We will not be able to accomodate viewing of your child for participants over 5. We will be enforcing a limit of 1 adult per family for our toddler and preschooler classes. All non-participants must wear masks, and for now we are requiring the use of masks for all participants over 3, with some exceptions. We have reached out to our governing bodies for clarification of mask requirements for participants and will update you all as we learn more. Thanks everybody!

Hello Flip'PEN families! Sadly, we will be cancelling classes today due to smoke. It was very smoky in here last night but didn't seem too bad today; after puttering around some we are feeling it in our chests and throats, so we don't feel it wise to have the kids come get active in it. We will take this class off of next month's fees. Please stay tuned for the rest of the smoky weather to see if your class is cancelled as well. Have a good day and stay safe:)

We will be running several competitive programs this year and in order to make sure we have the best possible fit for your child, we are booking assessments. Your gymnast will have 90 minutes of gym time in a small group setting. Coaches are looking at more than just skill level; strength, flexibility, attitude, potential, show us what they've got! Assessments are needed for our Development, Interclub, Xcel, Junior Olympic & High School programs ASSESSMENT SPOTS Tuesday Sept ...8 10:30-12 pm Tuesday Sept 8 4-5:30 pm Friday Sept 11 4-5:30 pm Saturday Sept 12 10:30-12pm If you are unable to attend any of these times, please contact the office to see if we can make alternate arrangements for you. *If your child was in a competitive program last year, they do not need an assessment, however, this time could be used as prep for the coming season.
