Looking for the perfect side dish for your Sunday dinner? Our Sprouted Brown Rice, Split Pea and Quinoa is the perfect flavor complement to these fresh spring ingredients! Plus it like sunshine in a bowl! ... Spring Filled Wild Rice Salad INGREDIENTS: 1 cup Prairie Blend Sprouted Brown Rice, Split Pea & Quinoa 2 cups of vegetable broth 8 ounces of asparagus, washed, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces One cup of peas One cup of radicchio, shredded 6 radishes, washed and sliced thinly 1/2 cup of basil julienned Small handful of parsley, chopped Salt and pepper to taste Dressing: 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons of lemon juice One tablespoon of red pepper flakes Salt and Pepper to taste DIRECTIONS: Mix dressing ingredients and stir well. Cook wild rice according to package directions. Chill slightly. Add asparagus and peas in the last 2 minutes of cooking time. Cook until just crisp. Drain and transfer to a bowl. Dressing and toss to combine. Add spring onions, radicchio, radishes, fresh herbs and salt and pepper. It’s Friday! This week for Floating Leaf Fan Friday Fave we are sharing this tasty one pan meal from @nailamaz Look at those tomatoes! Who else loves a one pan meal?! Photo and recipe by @nailamaz on Instagram.... Caramelized onions, mushrooms and wildrice chicken skillet dinner. Simple one pan meal with my favourite wild rice by Floating Leaf! This recipe is a favourite and it is always different variations depending on what is available in the fridge This is between a risotto and a pilaf for texture as I wanted a bit of a softer texture but not too mushy Honestly the easiest , Iput it on low flame for an hour and went out for a walk. Wild rice 1 1/2 cup Shiitake mushrooms 2 cups sliced Thyme 2-3 sprigs Chicken thighs 6-8 ,I used boneless Onions 11/2-2 thinly sliced Garlic 4 cloves minced Salt 11/2-2 tsp Chicken stock 31/2 cups Pepper to taste Chilli flakes 1/2 tsp Dried herbs of choice 1/2 tsp Oil 2 tbsp In a pan fry onion till start to caramelize and then add mushrooms till they caramalize too add pinch of salt,pepper,garlic and chilli flakes each Remove this and add chicken seasoned with little salt and pepper and fry till browns Add rest of garlic and fresh thyme Add in rice ,half of onion mushrooms mix and stock and let boil,lower the heat cover and let cook for 1hour or so check once to see if need more water or stock Once cooked fluff rice add the rest of mushrooms and onion mix on top I added some mozzarella cheese for kids on top too. #floatingleaffridayfanfave #eatwildrice #onepanmeal #wildrice #glutenfreerecipes
