That's why tuning in and learning to listen to your inner sensations (called "interoception") is helpful for releasing trapped energies and cultivating positive/wholesome states.... Next time you notice you're feeling a strong feelng (anxious/grateful/angry/grounded/depressed for example) let yourself take a moment to notice how you notice the feeling. What sensation(s) in your body are signalling your mind to "think" there is a certain feeling? Welcome to trauma healing 101.
