What a great chance to "just be" I challenge each of you to step away from your computer, television, radios & go for a nice drive or walk or chat to a neighbour across the lawn. It is not often we can have time on our own to catch up on reading, spring cleaning, or just be. I will still be Open for flower sales via telephone, email, or at the door where we have a plexiglass divider to keep us all safe. We will be calling recipients & arranging to leave their floral gifts on their porches or arrange safe pick-ups.

And we are wrapping up Dover Rocks Box, a community initiative born out of necessity, to support our local businesses through the many challenges this year has thrown at them, but that grew into something incredible and fun, with its own energy and light, thanks to all of you! These are the same Dover Rocks Boxes that you have come to know and love, with a holiday twist. In case you are new to Dover Rocks Box, one hundred percent of the sales dollars go directly to the participating local businesses and restaurants at their full retail value. The point is to provide a safe, friendly venue to #supportlocal during the rollercoaster that is 2020 and this pandemic. Ryan and I, along with our team of loyal and dedicated friends, volunteer our time to coordinate, curate, market, design, pack and deliver your boxes right to your doorstep. This has been a tough year for everyone, business as well as arts and culture. So, in addition to supporting local with your Dover Rocks Box purchase, we have come up with a fun way to give back to the community and support a local treasure that has not yet been able to re-open. For $5 you can add a friendly little Christmas light to your cart and be invited to witness what happens when we all pull together in the spirit of the holidays. Using the lights purchased, we will light up our very own Port Dover Harbour Museum for all to enjoy! The more lights purchased, the more we will be able to light it up! And that’s not all, the lights are just for fun, the total of all purchased lights will be donated directly to the Port Dover Harbour Museum. And housekeeping... Delivery and pickup dates will be: December 5, 12, 19, 22, 23, 24 We have a set number of boxes and limited spaces for packing and delivery each day, as usual, so pay attention to cutoff times and announcements here. When the boxes or the spaces are gone, they are gone. So buy early and buy lots! We put over $70,000 into our community this year so far, let’s finish the year out strong! Our businesses have been and will continue to be operating under strict policies, especially now after learning a floral supplier has been diagnosed with COVID-19. It was not pleasant receiving such a telephone call, first, there was a major concern for their well being, and then as to when they had attended, then relief. Fortunately, I have not received any floral product from said company for several weeks. This is a real 'flu'. Purchasing flowers is as easy as before only with precautions. The healing technique sessions have changed and I am grateful to all clients for their patience and consideration while attending. Prayers to all who are ill.
