My good friend and fishing buddy @stephenmjay introduced me to the #BC fly called the rolled muddler. I it is such an effective #fly that I tie it in many sizes and configurations. This version is on a size 2 hook with a repurposed guitar string ball end for the bead head. #flyfishing #flytying #winnipeg #manitoba #trout #bass #pike #walleye

I have a few small projects to do over our VERY long #winter. Loading new line on new and old reels and spare spool replacing a guide on an old rod. If I spread it out it will be #spring in no time. #flyfishing #flytying #manitoba

Could be my last time out for a while. This short ‘warm’ spell is nice but the up and down temps is hard to figure #fish. Was a great chance to try out and sort out my new switch line and reel #flyfishing

The weather is going to be great this weekend and I have a new reel loaded with a new line for my 6wt switch rod. Won't matter if I catch or catch big, as open water/fly fishing in November is a rare treat! As well, I can in all honesty say I'll be working on sorting out the new line and reel more so than the fish.
