Thank you to all our clients for your patience this calving season! We operate on a triage mentality so there have been, and will continue to be some wait times due to emergencies. The clinic is very busy right now with livestock emergencies and assisting neighbour clinics affected by COVID but we are doing our best to meet your needs. Please remember to call the office line for all non-emergent requests, 334-0011. Thank you

Vaccines Here on the ranch we deal in vaccines. A lot of vaccines. On any given year, we administer thousands and thousands of vaccines to the livestock in our ...care. Vaccinations are an essential part of our greater herd health program. We work closely with our veterinarian to develop a vaccination system to protect the animals as much as possible. And it works. They keep the cattle heathy while reducing the need for medications and antibiotics. With human covid vaccinations in the news these days, I am often asked my opinion on vaccines, and my answer is always the same. Vaccines are awesome. Because, SCIENCE. The reality is that vaccines are not without their own element of risk. Risk of failure. Risk of reaction. Risk of side effects. But that is the same as all things in life. Getting out of bed in the morning carries risks. As does driving cars or drinking coffee. Pretty much everything you can think of has some kind of risk to it. But science.... science helps us analyze those risks and decide the risk:benefit ratio. And in vaccinations, the science is clear. In our own first hand experience of administering thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands, of vaccines over the years, we have seen the risks pop up. We watched a calf collapse after suffering an adverse reaction to a vaccine. We had a small group where we had vaccine failure for one sickness. Things have happened. But let me be perfectly clear: On our ranch, we have had more animals die from being struck by lightning than by having an adverse reaction to a vaccine. Sure, sure... these Covid-19 vaccinations are new. But the science behind them is not. I’ll be lining up to get jabbed at the earliest opportunity. Because one thing is for certain - I am ready for life to return to some sense of normal. #StickItToCovid #SignMeUp #LetsLiveAgain #Normal #covid_19 #sss #vaccinesafetyadvocate

Came right to the car when I slowed down & stopped. Hopped right in the back & made herself comfy on my winter clothes & had a nap! She's in good shape, not matted, very friendly! Dropped her at Regina Humane society if anyone is looking for her! See more
