A great story of how a fail by CNN turned into an opportunity for communication and awareness of Indigenous issues. This oversight spurred a phenomenon across both the US and Canada and the #somethingelse movement was born. So instead of becoming angry or insulted, many indigenous people across Turtle Island have embraced #somethingelse to use it as an opportunity to educate other about our marginalization and stereotypes while having a little fun with it at the same time. This speaks to humor and resilience of our people. #somethingelse #Indigenous
