Googoo said that his community’s government is already democratically elected and manages many services independently of the provincial and federal government but is still impeded from complete sovereignty.

As we reflect and consider all of the discussions and knowledge that was shared over the last couple of days, we would like to thank everyone involved in the first ever First Nations Self Government Summit in Atlantic Canada!
