Meet Sheila Tansi, my name is Sheila Cook. I am a Woodland Cree woman from Reindeer Lake, SK. I am Treaty Status from Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation. Family is most important to me, and I am a mother to one beautiful daughter, have an excellent partner who supports me 100% and a tiny cute Yorkie/shitzu named Poppy. I am currently in my 1st year of university for my Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work. I applied for the members at a large position because I am always there to ...help out when needed and go above and beyond for others. I am most excited to be apart of First Nations University student association and hope to find a sense of belonging while being on the team. In my first semester of university, I learned so much about my culture than I did before and met such incredible professors and students. I wish I met everyone face-to-face. Fingers crossed that we get to attend campus this Fall 2021/22. A million tinikis for accepting my position.
