Message forwarded from Dan Greetings, ... I trust that you are getting outdoors more these days. I was in Kananaskis yesterday with family. It was great to breathe the fresh mountain air. Beholding God’s wonderous creation is always a gift that I enjoy. We can’t do such a trip with our international student friends these days, but we can still gather outdoors. Ken Gerke is leading all those interested on a hike/picnic within the city. The plan is to meet on the north side of Tuscany train station at 10:30am this coming Saturday. Ken will lead a hike from Tuscany station to Royal Oak Centre (45 mins walk/3.5 kms). At Royal Oak Centre you can buy food for a picnic lunch (a lot of food shops), or if you prefer to bring a packed lunch from home. There’s a grassy area nearby to have a picnic lunch together. Please bring your camera/phone. We’ll have a scavenger hunt that requires capturing photos of birds and flowers along the way. You should bring: Mosquito spray Small picnic blanket Packed lunch or money to buy lunch Water Jacket (depending on weather) Comfortable walking shoes Camera/phone Please let Ken or myself know if you are participating so we have an idea of how many. During this one-hour interactive workshop, we will explore the basics of prayer and hearing from God in our personal and group prayer times. We will cover topics like: What is prayer?
