THREE CHUNKS OF TAE withe Eugene T Gendlin PhD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qujbk6K389E 5:56 (GENE) Then i would like to say that whole TAE procedure can be divided into three chunks. The first five steps are a kind of a trick, a method, a stimulus, a way to produce a lot of strands out of your thing. Where at first you only have one thing, there you say okay it's that thing. And the word that you use for it is some word. And ...that word doesn't communicate it. Or some sentence that has a main word in it. And we ask you to go through the first five steps. And you get to a point where you've said it. You try one word, you try another word, you try a third word. None of the words work. The sentence replacing that word doesn't work. But then we ask you: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE THOSE WORDS TO MEAN? If you could have it your way and so these words wouldn't just mean thousands of things and different things to different people and generalities. They would mean exactly what you want them to mean See more

GRASP WITH YOUR MIND - TAE 14 STEPS with Eugene T. Gendlin PhD https://youtu.be/IyGNMcN19B8 5:42 (Gendlin) Anything that we do that has a practice with it has this two-sided quality. On the one hand we have steps. So we have 14 STEPS. So who is going to remember 14 steps? But we need those steps only to teach it. Once you learn it, then it is a practice. Once you learn it, then you do it your own way. And you don't need the steps. Then you get stuck. O.K. then you look at the steps again. So we go back and forth between - ah do it anyway - and oh look exactly step number seven this detail. Focusing is also like that. Every art is like that. Like, if you have a natural good voice, it's not enough. You have to have technique you know. You have to have voice training

TEACHERS of FOCUSING # 16 MORE OF YOUR STORY - ICEBERG with Edwin M. McMahon and Peter A. Campbell Ph.D. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNBC0Lyh-jY... "Some important learnings just simple things that we can understand and that in a way you can translate it into the language. Our bodies know things as well as our heads. And it's just that simple. Yeah sure they do. How does your body tell you how they know something that your head doesn't yet know? Feelings right. You feel anxious, you feel nervous, you can't go to sleep at night, you’re worried. We have all kinds of words for that. These are the signals that your body's trying to say something that your head doesn't yet know. And most of us don't know what to do with that"

TEACHERS OF FOCUSING # 14 Gene Gendlin Thinking and Speaking (TAE) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHc7A3lrZX8 5:49... DVD clip excerpt from TAE in 14 steps DVD TAE - Thinking and Speaking are special kinds of living. Special kinds of physical ongoing living and they have their own continuity. So the whole TAE procedure which is fairly simple, is also philosophically speaking a smashing attack, you might say, on the current Philosophy. Each individual is an endless intricacy. Really. And each individual experience is enormous amount of articulated sense that life makes. You need to stand again in your own experiencing, in your own felt ongoingness, which is that intricate complexity inside life, to put into the world what hasn’t been said yet that you are carrying from your own particular experience.14

THINKING AT THE EDGE (TAE) https://www.youtube.com/watch 7:18 We are bringing you here a new practice called THINKING AT THE EDGE - (TAE). It was developed out of Gene Gendlin’s Philosophy of the Implicit entry. Thinking at the edge is a way of articulating, finding new language to say something that you have long known and not been able to say, not being able to formulate, to communicate to people. It turns out when we say that to people - almost everyone has something like... that and almost everyone has something major like that. Thinking at the Edge is our second practice coming from the Philosophy of the Implicit which relates language and also logic to what we experience. The first practice we developed is Focusing of course, which is a way of using what you directly know and feel. We have very specific little steps to help people get in touch directly with that felt sense or direct referent. See more

FOCUSING is inner work that pays attention to felt sense. It is easy to practice and helpful to be your own best friend. Focusing has been named by Eugene T. Gendlin Ph.D. I will be posting ONE minute clips which are short, but important messages presented by Gene and notable original Teachers of Focusing. I chose only few sentences from their produced DVDs to represent their contribution to the development of Focusing. For those who have been trained by these teachers th...is is a little reminder and a memory trip. For those new to Focusing this is an opportunity to meet those teachers for the first time and learn from them. All clips are excerpts from DVDs I produced and you can find on my website. www.nadalou.com Teachers of Focusing # 1.Gene Gendlin Focusing: Introduction https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nR7BK67Ed2E&feature=youtu.be Teachers of Focusing # 2.Mary Hendricks Gendlin Focusing doesn’t belong to anybody https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bXEDsE8HVM

12 Philosophy, profiles, overlays, shadows https://www.youtube.com/watch 8:07 This Process Model that you hear about that I wrote. The first three chapters are actually pretty readable. So I invite you to read those then you can stop. ... The Philosophy shifts the whole ground and I’m gonna try and show you how. So if you get a sense of how that shifts the whole ground then I will have done well with my points here. So the first point I want to make is you don’t have to decide, in fact you can’t decide between the two things I’m going to say. You want both. So on one hand science and on the other hand the human world as you know it. Most people who come to something like this are aware of the human world. The world of human feelings and human interests and human purposes, which science does not cover and seems to deny or ignore. And I want to tell you that concepts have to be allowed to work alone because that's the only way they work. They have inferences. See more

Tomorrow 25.12. would have been Gene Gendlin's 93 birthday. In his memory : 11 Eugene T. Gendlin Ph.D. MEMORIAL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5FxuMGRXtM 12:27 This video consist collection of several clips off Gene Gendlin’s work through the years. It was prepared for the Celebration of his life Memorial in May 2017.... There is the absolutely best laboratory as far as we know at least, in the whole cosmos which you can have access to. Because the absolutely best laboratory in the whole cosmos which has a direct line into whatever everything is that’s a human being and you have that with you. So anything that comes out of that laboratory has really great possibilities even if it looks like a very small thing. We live in a society in which two understandings are underneath and one of them is that science is really the only reliable, the only really established, the only really worthwhile kind of knowledge that we have. And it's very precious. The science that we have has for some hundreds of years, already understood to base itself on empirical testing. And that's a democratic kind of a thing that means you don't have to believe the person, whoever the person is, who claimed something. It can be tested
