Alexander, ranger for Russian Arctic National Park, was there to secure our outings during our trip to the North Pole. Polar bears are predators for seals and other species, but also for humans in Arctic territory. Fortunately, incidents are extremely rare. Thanks to Alexander and his colleagues for keeping us safe.
