Today marks an incredible milestone for us! We are celebrating the 1st day of our 30th year in business! I personally couldn't be prouder to work for such wonderful people and amazing company!

JOB OPPORTUNITY! The property management company for the Schomberg plaza is seeking a local person to assume the role of general maintenance. This is a part time position with hours of work being primarily in the early morning prior to the plaza opening for business. Two of our employees are taking part in this very important half marathon supporting an incredible cause - Seasons Centre for Grieving Children. For those of you unfamiliar with this organization, here is a brief summary of the vital service they provide to our communities: "Seasons Centre for Grieving Children is a charitable organization serving Simcoe County. We opened our doors in 1995 and have been serving our community with their grief and bereavement since. We offer... a variety of no cost peer to peer support groups for children, teens, young adults, and adults grieving the death, or life-threatening illness of an immediate family member. One of the goals of our support groups is to provide participants with the necessary tools to promote grieving in healthy ways, promoting emotional well-being thus building resiliency. Seasons Centre can accommodate a maximum of 150 participants per week utilizing the current model of evening groups at the Centre. Groups are organized according to the age of the person; the circumstances surrounding the death, and the relationship to the person who has died. Participants are supported through the grief process by trained volunteer grief facilitators and program staff in a safe, non-judgemental, home like atmosphere. We are the only Centre in Simcoe Muskoka that is solely focused on assisting bereaved children and their families. As we do not receive any government funding, Seasons Centre relies on the support and generosity of our community. There are no fees for our services. Children can attend programs regardless of their family’s financial situation." It was our pleasure to host our DKI friends at yesterday's bi-annual Central Regional Meeting! It was a great day of not just valuable information sharing but it also gave us a great opportunity to catch up with fellow DKI members from across the central region. We hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did!

Well no one can say we weren't warned...good idea to plan for the worst and hope for the best. Stock up on supplies and get your flashlights (and batteries) ready for use in case of power outages. Try and avoid using candles as no one needs the added risk of a fire hazard. If you do wind up with a situation where you need us, we have crews always ready to provide help!
