This Wednesday October 21st is the official School Bus Driver & Monitor Appreciation Day! We appreciate our rock star team of drivers and monitors. They did not ask for this wild year, but coming back they knew the challenges ahead and still came back for their kids, taking all precautions and cleaning in stride and have absolutely blown us away with their patience, care and dedication so far.... If you know a great school bus monitor or driver in our crew, give them a shout out below for us to pass along!

School bus drivers know a thing or two about the #cold and #flu season! In previous years, we have seen many seasonal colds and flus go around the bus. This year, we're doing our part to make sure every single driver and monitor has the opportunity to get a flu shot and allowing our drivers the opportunity to come get the flu vaccine right in their bus in our yard come October. Flu shots definitely aren't the best part of fall, but we're trying to stay positive over here!! So let's think about what makes us happy instead; comment down below- what IS the BEST part of fall?!

Its been a long 5 months... Please be patient with us while we try to direct students to follow seating plans, and take extra time to load and unload students at schools to maintain cohorts where possible. Thank you to our entire team and support system for all the dedication that goes into the preparation for a new school year, especially this one. ... Its definitely takes something special to be so resilient and patient through this, and our employees and kids on our runs are amazing examples of such. Thank you to our drivers, monitors, dispatcher, shop and wash bay staff, kids, parents, teachers, schools, fellow operators, and Tri-Board for helping us navigate a return to school together in what can only be described as one heck of a year. LINE RUN SERVICE RESUMES FRIDAY AUGUST 7TH! Masks or face shields are mandatory in an enclosed space such as a bus, same as entering any business or store in Hastings Prince Edward. We ask that you please social distance from those outside your family/social bubble, follow all screening procedures as directed by the driver and have a wonderful Friday!

BANCROFT TO BELLEVILLE SHUTTLE UPDATE: Despite over 40 shares and 3,000 views on our last post and having active radio announcements in both Bancroft and Belleville, we have had a combined total of 4 passengers over the last 4 weeks of operations, including 2 straight weeks with 0 passengers, despite the majority of the Quinte Mall being open, strict sanitizing, and thorough mask and screening procedures in place for both our safety and yours. Our hope is that as our area and... most of Ontario moves into stage 3 of reopening this Friday at midnight, that the majority of businesses will begin regular operations in this new normal and that in a few weeks demand will return to justify the line run service. As a result, our line run bus service will be suspended until Friday August 7th, when hopefully demand can support the operation.
