Went to the Detroit Auto Show on Saturday morning then to the Henry Ford Museum Saturday afternoon and then to the Lambda Detroit "Afterglow". The "Afterglow" has been moved from its long-time former location at the Polish Hall in Hamtramck to the Automotive Hall of Fame on the grounds of the Ford Museum in Dearborn. The host/guest speaker was Bill Chapin, grandson of Roy Chapin of Essex Motor Cars, and son of Roy D. Chapin Jr. of Hudson and AMC. Bill is the head of the Automotive Hall of Fame, is a great speaker and is also a member of Detroit Lambda. Frank Markus, Technical Director at Motor Trend Magazine gave us his usual overview of the displays at NAIAS.
