Folk Media

Well, I believe this may be a high water mark for Folk Media... From the planning and project management, to the filming and editing techniques, to the soundtrack construction, this is exactly what we like to do. But what really sets this above the rest, is the actual story. We love nothing more than talking to thoughtful and creative people about challenges they've overcome. Especially when they're conscientious corporate citizens, genuinely trying to make home a little bett...er. It was an absolute joy to work with the talented folks Moonshine Creek Distillery and Moosehead Breweries. I think that's clear in the video... If you enjoy a fine glass a whisky from time to time, or would just like to own a piece of a NB history, all while supporting NB food banks, be sure to reserve your bottle while you still can!

We consider this an ideal Folk Media video a collaborative project, with a clear narrative, and a strategic message. It helps that it also showcases the beautiful landscapes and lifestyle here in northern New Brunswick!

Well this was a fun one! Covid presents all sorts of challenges, but I'm happy to say it only prompted collaboration and creativity on this one! Thank you to Bathurst Recreation & Tourism / Loisirs et tourisme, Canadian Heritage, and the City of / Ville de Bathurst for embarking on this, and trusting the talented musicians of the region. I only wish we could have included more...... And to Nathan Dimitroff and MKG Labs for planning the fun week that led up to this. Be sure to check out the live trivia this evening. And I can't thank Northern Heights - Music/band enough! Not only did they perform and record all their parts, but John Boulay arranged all this music, Caroline Boudreau coordinated the musicians, and Marcel St-Cyr edited and the mixed all this cell phone audio into this wonderful sounding rendition of "Oh Canada." Proud to have been a part! Happy Canada Day! And as the folks at Pabineau First Nation perfectly put it: "What the world needs now is more love!"

Working on a collaborative community project is the perfect way to start the summer! Follow along for the next week, especially if you're in Bathurst.
