Here's a great resource to find financial help during COVID-19. https://covid-benefits.alpha.canada.ca/en/start

During this pandemic Licensed Insolvency Trustees were listed as an essential service by the provincial government and our company continued to carry on doing business albeit in a different capacity as we did our part to minimize the spread of the Coronavirus. Now that our economy is reopening, we have updated our business operations so that we may continue to serve you in a safe manner. We’ve worked hard to put all the necessary protocols in place to keep you and our team sa...fe. Our offices are now completely open again for regular business hours. We will however, continue to conduct as many meetings as possible virtually and we will continue to have many of our employees work from home to keep traffic in our offices to a minimum. We also encourage you to call or email the office before stopping in because during this pandemic there have been many changes to allow us to serve you virtually than before. When coming in to the office for a meeting we will conduct a quick screening at the reception desk. We will ask you to answer a few questions, similar to the questions you answered when booking your appointment. Employees who are not feeling well or displaying any symptoms will not be permitted into the office. We will continue to have hand sanitizer readily available and we also have protective barriers at reception and in our meeting rooms. All of our office staff will wear facemasks while engaging with clients who are not behind a protective barrier and where physical distancing may not be possible (wearing face coverings will be mandatory at our Kingston office for all employees and anyone visiting this office due to the Order of the Medical Officer of Health for the KFL&A Health Unit). We will also be offering complimentary facemasks to those coming in for meetings but you are welcome of course to bring your own. Our staff will continue to practice strict hygiene protocols and physical distancing at all times. We kindly ask for your help to provide 2 metres (6 feet) of distance when not protected by a physical barrier. Please rest assured that we will continue to clean surfaces before and after meetings as well as continue with our augmented cleaning procedures for high touch surfaces. The situation continues to change rapidly, and we will adjust our plan on an ongoing basis to continue to deliver the quality service you have been accustomed to in as safe a manner as possible. Thank you for your continued understanding and support.

Licensed Insolvency Trustees were listed as an essential service by the provincial government. We provide professional services in a similar fashion to lawyers, engineers, and accounts. Additionally, as officers of the court, we also provide services that support the legal and justice system and our work also includes banking activities related to credit intermediation. We are still open for business for any new and existing customers but as we continue to do our part to min...imize the spread of the virus, visiting our office is still by appointment only. This visitation policy will help us balance the need for social distancing while still being able to provide timely services in an effective manner based on individual circumstances. Please contact our office by phone, email or fax and we will evaluate your servicing requirements and determine the best course of action to fulfill your request. Should an office visit be required please rest assured that all our staff have the following guidelines: Sterilizing surfaces before and after meetings Strict hand washing protocols Hand sanitizer is available at each location Reduced staff complement at each location (most of our employees are now working from home so the number of staff in each office is much smaller) During office visits we will maintain at least a 2 metre distance from anyone.

Facing this pandemic has thrown us all into uncertain and unprecedented circumstances. We want to act as fast as possible and ensure that we are taking any and all precautionary measures to avoid risk to the health and safety of our clients, our staff and our community. As we do our part to minimize the spread of the virus, visiting our office will now be by appointment only until further notice. This new visitation policy will help us balance the need for social distancing ...while still being able to provide timely services in an effective manner based on individual circumstances. At this time our offices are still operational and will continue to provide services for new and existing customers. Our team will continue to be accessible by phone and email. Since much of the work we do with can be completed over the phone or by email please contact our office first, before attempting a visit, and our staff will be pleased to review the nature of your requirements and how we can best meet your request during these difficult times. Please know that we are also taking the additional measures to provide a safe environment: We are asking our employees who are not feeling well to stay home and take all necessary precautions. We are also asking our employees to adhere to strict hygiene practices. We have made arrangements for employees to be able to distance themselves while at the workplace. We are also making arrangements for employees to work from home where possible. Our offices have augmented daily cleaning procedures for high-touch surfaces, have made hand sanitizer readily available, and are educating everyone on best practices recommended by Health Canada. We all recognize that these are extraordinary and exceptional circumstances. The situation is changing rapidly, and we will adjust our plan on an ongoing basis to continue to deliver the quality service you have been accustomed to. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Some helpful information about a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) scam that has been going around for some time now.

Insurance can be a great tool for proper financial planning but not all insurance products are worth the price. Never be afraid to ask questions or to say no to something that doesn't sound right and when in doubt seek professional advice.
