We're going to be seeing a lot more research like this, showing us just how foolish we have been, thinking that there's such a thing as "food grade plastics". https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_re/2020-10/tcd-hlo101620.php

If it isn't perfectly obvious by now, dramatically reducing and even eliminating refined sugar and fructose consumption is among the more important interventions in childhood ADD/ADHD. Only a few weeks of abstinence can promote such a dramatic change that it calls into question the diagnosis itself - and can prevent the need for psychostimulants in favour of natural alternatives. https://medicalxpress.com//2020-10-high-fructose-intake-ag

There has long been a debate about the greatest risk to human health with regard to pollutants. While diet can be a significant risk, in Food As Medicine published in 2011, I stated that the research showed that laundry lint was the single greatest vector for daily, household pollutant exposure. Now there's further research showing that a staggering amount of microplastics are leaching from our clothing into the land and water - and is now finding its way into our organs. The article states that over 5.6 million metric tons of synthetic microfibres have ended up in the environment, with at least half of those pollutants produced in the last 10 years. We need to turn this around! JUST SAY NO to synthetic fibres whenever you can! https://www.sciencealert.com/microplastics-from-synthetic-c

Honey is a traditional home remedy for colds, and in this meta-analysis, proved to be a more effective treatment than antibiotics. You can make this remedy even stronger by infusing honey with common culinary herbs such as garlic, thyme, ginger, oregano, and/or turmeric. Mix 50/50 with vinegar as the medium for extraction, and you have an oxymel, which particularly useful for dispelling cold and warming digestion. https://ebm.bmj.com/content/early//07/28/bmjebm-2020-111336
