YEEEEEE HAW! . . I had such an amazing time at the Saloon 24 Western Cocktail Experience by @thewonderlandbar and @hiddensyd. Thank you so much to @hungry_diner for allowing me to join in on this great experience . .... . The venue was totally decked out in Western decor and everyone is given a team bandana when you arrive. You and your team mates then partake in games like darts, can shooting, and ring toss to earn coins and cash them in for a tasty barrel cocktail for two . . . The Hills Middle Eastern . . I had a BLAST at this amazing restaurant. From the food to the entertainment, The Hills Middle Eastern delivers both flavour AND fun! .... . My favourites from @thehillsmiddleeastern were the lamb skewers with toum (Lebanese garlic sauce) and the cheese sambouseks! . . I would like to extend a big thank you to @thehillsmiddleeastern and @hungry_diner for inviting me to this event! NANYANG TEA CLUB . . I tried Nanyang Tea Club’s high tea set and it was lovely! The set was beautifully presented with real flowers and rose petals. As well, the macaroons are absolutely STUNNING. Usually high tea comes with sandwiches but this one came with hainanese chicken nigiri for the savoury tier, which was incredibly tasty! I would definitely recommend this high tea experience from @nanyangteaclub ! @ Nan Yang Tea Club

AUVERS CAFÉ . . I finally got around to trying @auverscafe and the food was soo yummy . SWIPE and comment below which dish YOU would love to try most! .... . LOBSTER ON SOUFFLÉ : this dish was DELISH! I haven’t had lobster in so long so I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was served with a bonito cream sauce, caviar and black garlic. . . WAGYU SKEWERS : the beef was cooked perfectly and the skewers were served with Yakiniku mayo making them EXTRA tasty . . . DRAGON WELL TEA CREME BRÛLÉE : this creme brûlée was extremely creamy and not too sweet. I also loved how the caramelized sugar layer on top was very thin and crispy. I really enjoyed the tea flavour but it was a bit subtle for me (huge tea lover over here ). Overall I really enjoyed this dessert and it was a great way to round out an amazing meal. . . PINK CHAIR COCKTAIL : this was dangerously good . It was made with white rum, coconut milk, pomegranate juice and strawberry. This drink is very creamy and coconut-y so If you are a bit coconut lover like me then you’ll love this cocktail! See more

CHANG’AN NOODLES . . I had the pleasure of visiting @changannoodleaustralia and their noodles definitely don’t disappoint! The noodles are handmade so they are always fresh and tasty. Not only are their dishes super flavourful, but they are also very affordable (their most expensive dish is $12.80)! Read below to find out more about each dish I tried .... . TOMATO BEEF NOODLES : these are the noodles featured in my first photo and they are absolutely delicious! The broth has a really rich tomato flavour with a slightly thick consistency. I love this texture of broth because it perfectly clings to the noodles! . . CHANG’AN CHILLI OIL NOODLES : these noodles were probably my favourite! The texture of the noodles was perfect. As well, the dish was medium-level spicy and the chilli oil flavour was amazing! . . CHINESE HAMBURGER : for those of you who don’t know, a Chinese hamburger (or a rou jia mo) is a type of street food that consists of a stewed meat (typically pork) inside of a pastry. This one was SO good and I really enjoyed how the pastry was not too greasy . . . CHINESE CUCUMBER SALAD : I love cucumber salads because they are so refreshing (especially on hot days). SPICY JOINT . . I was out exploring @chatswoodinterchange and came across @spicyjointau so I decided to give it a try! This restaurant specializes in Sichuan cuisine so the dishes I tried were very flavourful and had a nice level of spice. Read below to see what I loved about each dish! .... . ROAST LAMB CHOPS : these came out on a hot, sizzling plate and smelled AMAZING. The lamb was fall-off-the-bone tender and extremely flavourful. The potatoes were also perfectly cooked and very tasty! . PORK WONTON IN RED CHILLI OIL : these were okay but because I prefer a thinner wonton wrapping, I found that this one was a bit thick for my liking. Flavour-wise, they were really delicious and had a good spice level! . CUCUMBER WITH GARLIC DRESSING : this dish was so tasty! The cucumber was fresh and crisp and the dressing definitely didn’t hold back on the garlic (which I love!). MADAME TRUFFLES . . During truffle season I love to visit @madametruffles to purchase some delicious truffles and truffle related products! Black truffle is one of my favourite flavours of all time. I decided to make a simple pasta to really showcase that beautiful truffle flavour. Read below to find out more about my pasta and swipe for photos of my delicious truffle from @madametruffles ! .... . TRUFFLE PASTA: when using truffle as your main ingredient, it’s really important to keep it simple and not use too many other ingredients that could overpower that rich truffle flavour. I added some mushrooms because they go really nicely with black truffle and provide a bit of texture for the dish. When working with black truffle, it is important to really maximize its flavour. That’s why it’s crucial to shave a nice portion of the truffle into your cream sauce while cooking instead of only shaving it on the finished dish. RAMEN TORIICHI . . I really enjoyed my time at @toriichi_neutralbay! The staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was great! Read below to learn about the different items I tried .... . NINNIKU RAMEN: this is a red garlic based chicken ramen! The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy- not dry. The broth was really rich and flavourful as well. I also really enjoyed the thickness of the noodles. I was happy they weren’t too thin. I am always up for anything with garlic so I was very happy with this dish! . . CHICKEN DUMPLINGS : these were nice and crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. It was my first time trying chicken dumplings (normally I eat pork ones) and they were delicious! . . CHEESEY CHICKEN KATSU : this was amazing! It was served nice and hot so the cheese was super melty and delicious . I got so excited eating this I tried to do a cheese pull for you guys but then failed miserably . If you LOVE cheesy goodness then I would definitely recommend this one. . . PORK RAMEN : this pork ramen had an incredibly rich and creamy broth. The noodles were a great texture (slightly bouncy and not too soft) and the pork meat was very flavourful. . . CUCUMBER SHIO (not pictured) : This was very tasty but also refreshing and light. The cucumber was nice and crisp and the marinade was really flavourful! . . THE LITTLE SNAIL . . I absolutely love French food and really enjoyed @the_littlesnail . Overall, their food was delicious, reasonably priced and their service was attentive and friendly! SWIPE for all the dishes I tried and read below to see which were my favourites . .... . ESCARGOT DE BOURGOGNE : I really enjoy escargot in general and these in particular were heavenly! They were perfectly cooked and very tender. I definitely recommend these if you like escargot. . . BOUILLABAISSE DE MARSEILLE : one thing I really liked about this soup is that there was a generous portion of seafood. You get some fish, two large mussels and two prawns which is great for an appetizer! The soup broth was a little thicker than I would have liked. It also would have been nice if I could have tasted more of the fish flavour coming through the broth. Overall, it was nice and quite filling. . . MAGRET DE CANARD : I was really impressed with this dish! The duck was very tender and the skin was very flavourful and crispy. Also, the raspberry sauce complimented the duck perfectly! The duck was cooked between medium and medium well. I would rather that the duck be cooked medium rare, but this is my personal preference. Aside from this, it was really delicious! . . LOIN OF LAMB : this lamb was delicious! Served medium rare, it was so juicy and tender. Also, the maple glazed potato served on the side was amazing! Highly recommend this one . . . WARM STICKY DATE PUDDING : if you know me, you know I love my desserts! This was INCREDIBLE. The pudding had the perfect texture and was quite moist. The butterscotch sauce was divine and I could have probably eaten this by itself with a spoon . Also, this dessert was beautifully presented! The only thing I would say is that if you don’t like really sweet desserts, this probably isn’t for you. . . BELGIAN CHOCOLATE GATEAU : I know I just raved about the previous dessert, but this one was also amazing . The texture of this cake was to DIE for: it is extremely moist and slightly fudge-y. The flavour of this cake was equally satisfying. This was a very indulgent but delicious chocolate cake! See more

BISTRO MOLINES . . Exams are finished and I finally decided to venture out to Hunter Valley to try out some amazing wine and food! Bistro Molines had a STUNNING view of the vineyards although it was extremely cold on this particular day . .... . FIRST COURSE: This basil pasta was incredible! The pasta was perfectly al dente and the scallops were phenomenal. . . SECOND COURSE: This Jack’s Creek beef was slow cooked and extremely tender and juicy. It was served with sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes! . . THIRD COURSE: Who doesn’t love crème brûlée? It was perfectly creamy on the inside with a delicious crunchy exterior . . . I highly recommend visiting @bistromolines if you are in the Hunter Valley area. The view of the vineyards is beautiful and my photos don’t do it justice! @ Bistro Molines See more

Throw back to the Night Noodle Markets . . It was insanely busy here so I only managed to try a few spots, but hopefully next time I arrive earlier . .... . I absolutely loved the delicious pork from @hoypinoybbq (a Filipino BBQ spot). It was really cool watching them cook their meat over charcoal and taking in the delicious aromas while I waited in line . . . The desserts from @gelatomessina were also amazing . Their Thai milk tea dessert was my absolute favourite (the one in the photo with the bite taken out of it ). . . Overall, the Night Noodle Markets were a really fun experience and I hope they go ahead again this year ! @ Sydney, Australia See more

STARFISH BLOO . . Throwback to this restaurant I visited in Bali! Although I tried a lot of authentic Balinese food while I was there, I thought I would make a post about this place since it was SO beautiful! The dining area was right by the ocean and you could watch the sunset while you enjoyed a lovely meal. .... . My favourite items here were probably the sushi or the wagyu beef hot rock . They give you a portion of raw wagyu beef and you cook it yourself on this adorable mini hot rock. It was served with chilli ponzu and pickled vegetables . SWIPE to see photos of my tasty meal! . . As a side note, I hope everyone is staying safe during this difficult time . Although I won’t be able to visit restaurants for the time being, I believe staying at home is absolutely necessary to help flatten the curve. LA PALMA COCKTAIL BAR . . Last week I checked out @lapalmabondi and this place is great! I absolutely love the atmosphere in this cozy bar which also serves up some DELICIOUS eats . SWIPE for a photo of me before I stuffed my face . .... . SKEWERS : My favourite food item here was by FAR their skewers. I tried the 200 day grain fed short rib skewer and the octopus skewer and both were fantastic! I could have seriously eaten probably five more of each . . . JERK CHICKEN WINGS : these were also really good. They were the perfect amount of spicy for me . . . DIVE MASTER (in photo): this cocktail was so pretty! I loved the citrus in this one and found it really refreshing! . . RICE BUBBLES (not pictured): this cocktail was probably one of the most unique I’ve tried in a while. Brunch so hard, mimosa wanna find me . . I had the pleasure of trying out my first vegan restaurant here in Sydney and it was great! Oh My Days Vegan café is a cute little spot in Glebe that’s perfect for breakfast or brunch! .... . BANANA BREAD : this banana bread was so yummy and moist! It was served with a side of almond butter which was a nice change since I am used to eating banana bread with butter typically. . . BLUE CORN & BLUEBERRY PANCAKES : these were AMAZING! The pancakes were packed with blueberries and they were served with a cashew-coconut ice cream. This was my first time ever trying cashew ice cream and I am HOOKED . . . BREAKFAST BURRITO : this burrito was jam packed with black beans and tofu scramble. Trust me when I say it was both HUGE and filling! . . SUPER BERRY SMOOTHIE : this smoothie was really refreshing and super thiccc. It has berries, mango, açai and maca powder . . . MAGNUM & STEINS . . I’ve been trying to hit all of my favourite restaurants in St. John’s before I head back to Sydney! I had a delicious meal at @magnumandsteins and thought I should share my favorite dishes from the evening with you guys! SWIPE for more photos .... . HALF RACK OF OVEN ROASTED NEW ZEALAND LAMB: this lamb had a pesto and Parmesan crust and was served with potato, French beans and cherry tomato. It was sooo juicy and delicious . . . AAA BEEF TENDERLOIN: this was a hefty portion of beef but I tried my best to crush it . Very tender and served with crispy fried onions, bacon jam, whipped potato and veggies! . . CALAMARI: I really enjoyed this calamari! Unlike some others I’ve tried, this one had a lot less batter and the pieces were large and tender making for a tasty appetizer . . . TETLEY TEA CREME BRÛLÉE: oh my goddddd, this was amazing! It was very creamy and hands down one of the best creme brûlées I have enjoyed (although I am definitely biased towards tea flavoured anything ). . . LYCHEE MARTINI: made with vodka, lychee liquor and white cranberry, this cocktail was fruity and refreshing . . . BIRTHDAY WINES . . It has taken me a few days to recover from the holidays and make this post, so here we are! I had an amazing dinner at @raymondsnl and I thought I would share some of my favourite bottles that I enjoyed. I’ve also included a blurry mirror selfie at the end because who knows when I’ll be in this dress again . .... . CHÂTEAU D’YQUEM 2008 SAUTERNES : this wine was silky, fruity and truly delicious! It was probably my favourite wine of the evening but I’m always a sucker for Sauternes, especially with some tasty dessert . . . LOUIS ROEDERER 2007 CRISTAL : we enjoyed this champagne with some delicious Newfoundland oysters and Acadian Sturgeon Caviar! It paired very nicely with both . . . DOM PÉRIGNON 2009 : I did a side by side comparison with this one and the Cristal mentioned above. Although Dom is usually my go to champagne, I think I preferred the Cristal. I enjoyed how it was less dry and had fruitier notes when compared to the Dom. . . WALTER HANSEL 2016 CHARDONNAY: this wine was really clean, fresh and balanced. It’s also nice that it’s at a very affordable price point! . . TENUTA SAN GUIDO 2012 SASSICAIA : this delicious Italian red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. It was one of my favourite wines of the evening and paired wonderfully with the lamb pasta and rabbit that we enjoyed! . . WHO LOVES LEBANESE FOOD?! . . I had the pleasure of trying out some delicious Lebanese food from @jasminsgranville . The dishes were so tasty, fresh and beautifully presented (especially the hummus)! I had their banquet feast which included a wide variety of items. Some of my favourites were the lemon garlic chilli chicken, the kofta, tabouleh and hummus (SWIPE for photos). As a tea fanatic, I was also really impressed with their signature Jasmins home brewed tea- thi...s stuff is amazing! . .
