We are so grateful for your donations throughout the pandemic! Your incredible support was featured in the 2021 Giving Report by CanadaHelps. "We saw unprecedented support from the community, which pointed to folks trusting that we're supporting the most vulnerable." - Laurie O'Connor, Executive Director of Food Banks of Saskatchewan. Thank you to Chad McCallum of Dice and Men who just wrapped up their fundraiser, raising a total of $196 for Food Banks of Saskatchewan. ($85 of it through donations already made to the charity to enter their board game draw, and the rest will come through a donation from the money raised on twitch). "Thanks again for allowing us to support your charity online!"
We're so thankful for our volunteers and donors across the province! Thank you for feeding your neighbours.
On behalf of all the food banks, thank you to every donor who joined Nutrien in making a gift to the Home for the Holidays campaign. These donations ensured everyone in our province had safe and nutritious food over the holidays and positions the food banks to be able to respond to demand in the months ahead.
So many people help us out with their generosity and their time. So many THANK YOUs are in order. Here are just a couple: A Big THANK YOU to Michael Goldie of M...argo, who has been donating farm eggs to the food bank. THANK YOU as well to Doug Ward for clearing snow at the food bank. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The January newsletter includes stories and photos from around the province. Read about how your donations have been put to use. https://skfoodbanks.ca/news/
Thank you to these generous corporate partners for their support of the Home for the Holidays campaign!
Thank you Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association!
The Home for the Holidays campaign recognizes that this season will look different for most of us this year. Please consider making a donation in lieu of one of the ‘regular’ holiday activities you may have to miss. Donate today at www.skfoodbanks.ca.
Food banks were able to innovate and quickly adapt to changing needs of their communities during the pandemic. #ThankstoFoodBanks
Thank you, Nutrien, for leading off our holiday campaign with a cash donation of $250,000! The ‘Home for the Holidays’ campaign starts today and runs through December 31, 2020. Donations received during the campaign will be distributed to 36 food banks across the province. Learn more and donate at www.skfoodbanks.ca.
View the entire Talk of the Town clip on our YouTube channel as the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation and Regina & District Food Bank discuss the incredibly generous donation received from an anonymous donor!
Keep those donations coming! We are so close to the half-way mark. Challenge your co-workers, friends and family to match your donation.
Chicken Farmers of Canada recently made a donation for $4,665.00 as a result of the contest held for Members of Parliament and Senators, asking them to submit their favourite chicken recipes. Each recipe submitted increased the pot of donations to be divided amongst food banks across the country. The two finalists’ recipes were judged by a chicken farmer, who also randomly drew the recipients of the donations from Chicken Farmers of Canada at that time. Manitoba MP Larry Mag...uire’s recipe won first place for his Chicken and Chickpea Bowl recipe, with Ontario MP Marie-France Lalonde’s recipe coming in second. Our farmer judge randomly picked three different food banks across Canada to receive the donation you recently received. Canada’s chicken farmers hope this support helps you continue the great work you do for communities in Saskatchewan.
