Hi everyone! We hope you tried and enjoyed January’s Recipes of the Month, coming up, February is Chilli Month! Send us your best chilli recipes (unless it’s a family secret, of course), let us know why it’s your go-to, anything that makes it special, and why you love chilli!... We’ll use some submissions for next month’s recipes, keep an eye out for yours. We like chilli because of its versatility: It can be frozen and saved for later, It can be made it big batches and shared, It goes well with rice, topped with cheese, with bread, etc... Lots of different ingredients can be used! So Pincher Creek, join us for some chilli in February! As always, donations to the Food Centre are greatly appreciated, and if you are requesting a food hamper and want to give one of our recipes a try, we will include it and the ingredients in the hamper! Thanks!! Happy cooking!
Food security is an issue for everyone!
Hey Pincher Creek! Join us at the Food Centre in trying out some new recipes! Every month we will be sharing Recipes of the Month that utilize food items that are often provided through the food hampers/ frequently donated to the food centre. For example, this month, we tried out Stove Top Stuffing and pineapple chunks in the Sweet and Sour Meatballs, and used rice, diced tomatoes and chickpeas in the Chickpea and Red Lentil Masala.... Hamper recipients can request to be provided with the ingredients to make these delicious dishes, as well as the recipe. To help get this program going you can: 1. Donate some of the ingredients required for the recipe to the Food Centre 2. Donate local grocery store gift cards to the Food Centre 3. Make monetary donations to the Food Centre that we can use for our food purchasing program 4. PARTICIPATE Give the recipes a try at home, send us pictures and comments of how it turned out! We would love to receive any other suggested recipes that work with similar ingredients as well. We look forward to seeing what you guys cook up!
Thank you The General's Quarters for providing our community with a special Christmas Eve meal.
Thanks to Creek Bud Supply for your donation to help feed our community!
