Join John Johnstone from the Leq'á:mel First Nation and Musu Taylor-Lewis from Canadian Foodgrains Bank at the Flourishing Conference on May 7-8 for a session of storytelling and discussion as we examine the steps to racial reconciliation and diversity. Can you spot the Gift Guide purchase in this photo? Okaythat’s a bit of a trick question. The piglet in this photo is actually the baby of a Gift Guide pair of pigs! These women in Burundi are helping their entire community thrive by passing their piglets onto neighbours. Piglets not only produce manure for gardens, which helps cultivate yummy and nutritious vegetables, but also grow up to have more little piglets that can be sold at the market for profit and passed along t...o new neighbours. The cycle of sustainability continues! And that’s just one wee story of how your Gift Guide purchases are transforming lives and entire communities!

This article from our friends at the The Chalmers Center is a timely reminder about why, as Christians, we are called to act beyond ourselves to help loosen the chains of injustice for those who are materially poor. And through these relationships, maybe we can begin to address the poverty in our own lives too. https://chalmers.org//why-your-church-is-called-to-help-th"
